Daily Affirmation #4

The Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken” (Genesis 21:1, MEV). It’s interesting that Sarah had the promise of a natural child for over twenty years, but it didn’t happen until after an incident where she had to put her trust fully in Adonai (Genesis 20). After she had her trust in Adonai, He was able to move in her life. Adonai is sovereign, but had chosen to PARTNER with obedient children (John 14:12; Deuteronomy 28:8). Once she was putting her trust in Him, Adonai did two things. He came because He said we would. He performed because He had spoken words of performance. God keeps His word. God performs His word. He waited twenty years to do it, but He did it. He will ALWAYS perform His Word, even when it seems to us to be taking too long (2 Peter 3:9). If He said it, we can stand on it. For as long as we need to. He’s given us His ability to trust (Mark 11:22) and it comes with no time limits. It will always work. It will always come to pass. Period. Our experience isn’t a factor. Long wait, short wait, immediate arrival. It is all the same to the Word because it becomes real, accomplished, and yours the minute you pray believing (Mark 11:24). These aren’t suggestions, but what Jesus told us to do about how things work. Now it can suck to wait, but the thing to focus on is the IT WILL ARRIVE. When we pray the Word, we’re praying the Will of the Father. It WILL happen. First He will show up, then He will perform. As long as you believe and have trust in Him, you have the weapons you need to defeat doubts. He did it with Sarah. He’ll do it with you. He does it with EVERYONE (Acts 10:34).
