Ruach HaKodesh “First Responder”

came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediatelyher hemorrhaging stopped.

Luke 8:44 (emphasis mine)

The full story is in Matthew 9:20-22, Mark 5:25–34, and Luke 8:43–48. This woman had belief in Jesus’ ability to heal. This woman trusted implicitly that if she were to touch the hem of Jesus’ cloak (the tzitzit or tassels of Jesus’ tallit or fringed prayer shawl). She believed and trusted in this. Jesus was walking along intent on something else (Jairus’ sick daughter Mark 5:21–43, Matthew 9:18–26 and Luke 8:40–56). She touched Jesus’ clothes completely independent of Jesus Himself. And she was IMMEDIATELY healed. How? The Father healed her by His trust Jesus would sacrifice Himself – through Ruach HaKodesh – responding to her trust in Jesus. It’s all about trust in Jesus AND you’ll notice there was no waiting period. They didn’t let Jesus know ahead of time (He got a word of knowledge when she didn’t immediately present herself). Ruach HaKodesh, knowing the will of the Father that all be healed, responded to her trust in Jesus. He ALWAYS responds. He is a Trust Responder.

Ruach HaKodesh is specialised in releasing the Father’s power, is first at every point of human contact with Adonai Elohim, and provides an immediate spiritual response to ANY and ALL true trust in Jesus. It is His AUTOMATIC response to trust in Jesus. That’s why the Word so frequently tells us that when we pray believing we get it. There’s no mail in guarantee. There are no lines. Ruach HaKodesh is ALWAYS standing by, ready to assist. But He ONLY responds to true, heartfelt, can’t fool Him, trust in Jesus. Always. If our experience isn’t matching that, there is something missing on our side of the equation. Ruach HaKodesh always responds to trust in Jesus. Every time.

Why then don’t we see evidence of that in our lives every time? Because we aren’t trusting in Jesus. Don’t get mad at me. That HAS to be the reason. Adonai NEVER misses. It is US who miss it. Remember, Adonai Elohim is a SPIRIT. He answers prayer in the spirit. Our answers are out there in the spirit. WE need to take hold of them. WE need to transfer them. WE need to be the ones who move them from the spirit to our flesh. We are a MAJOR factor in whether they physically arrive or not. Remember that when Daniel prayed he was answered IMMEDIATELY (Daniel 9:20-21; 10:12). The first time he received it before he had even finished speaking. The second time there was a delay in receiving. He was under the Law and the Old Covenant, so his answer was hindered because it was a physical messenger showing up to speak. We’re in the New Covenant and Ruach HaKodesh is within us. We have ZERO delay in speaking and that speaking CANNOT be delayed. As for other answers, they are IMMEDIATELY released in the spirit. Take healing. It was released two thousand years ago. We need to take the answers we are given and engage them. To flick the switch and get them moving from our spirit to our flesh.

This woman from today’s verse had a need. A big one. Many of us have needs. Big ones. She heard reports of Jesus. She thought about them. About Him. Maybe she compared what she heard with what she had been taught in synagogue about Yahweh throughout the scriptures (the Old Covenant). Maybe she thought about the nature of Elohim and what KIND of God He was. There were plenty examples throughout the history of her people. She knew the Law because it says she knew she was breaking them to be out in public and touching someone (you don’t sneak when you have a right to be somewhere). She spent time on this. She thought about it. She answered every doubt, every question, and every what if. She turned all of that into a positive assurance that she had grabbed hold of the truth that Jesus was well able to provide healing. She got so sure about it that she didn’t think she needed to ask Him or speak to Him. She was so sure that He was absolutely dripping with healing power that if she simply touched His clothes, healing would come off of Him and onto her. She trusted it was true and she believed it.

Remember the Centurion’s servant (Matthew 8:5-13) and the official’s son (John 4:43-54)? Jesus didn’t see the sick person. The sick person didn’t touch Jesus. Jesus SPOKE and the sick became well. These are two of the best examples of healing the believer has because it works exactly like that today. “Then when he had received the sour wine, Jesus said, “It is completed,” and bowing his head, he gave up his spirit” (John 19:30). It is completed. Or it is finished. There you go. Direct words from Jesus that sin was paid for. Healing was released. Salvation was possible. That’s the moment it finished going out. It’s out there now. Right. Now. The vibrations created when Jesus spoke those words are still vibrating today. They are an energy that exists in Ruach HaKodesh. He is dripping with healing power. He is so dripping with it that if we will believe and trust in Jesus it will come off onto us. What if your problem isn’t healing? Everything of Ruach HaKodesh is dripping with the power of the Most High God. Ruach HaKodesh responds to trust in Jesus.

We need to get the Word into us so that we have something to meditate on. To think of. To develop. To consider until we know what we know what we know. So that we can bring every doubt and disobedient thought kicking and screaming to the cross (2 Corinthians 10:5). To be so sure we have an eager expectation of absolute arrival of everything the Word promises, bringing ourselves into harmony with the Word, that Ruach HaKodesh will instantly respond. And we’ll KNOW that He did, and engage it, bringing it from the spirit to a physical arrival hand in hand with Adonai. Ruach HaKodesh always responds to trust in Jesus, so we should always trust in Jesus so see constant response in our spirit, soul, and body.

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Psalm 145:9

Yahweh is good to all, and his mercies are over all his works.” Has anything good ever happened to anyone bad or even (historically) someone downright evil? Of course! It’s because Elohim is Merciful and Gracious, not giving us what we deserve and giving us what we don’t. Does this mean no responsibility? Oh, no. We have personal responsibility and will account for everything we do or say (Matthew 12:36). We can do it through repentance in Jesus now (Acts 3:19) or we can do it face to face with the Throne later (1 Corinthians 3:12-15). But Elohim’s goodness isn’t dependent on our performance. He doesn’t withhold good things because we mess up. Look at Adam and Eve. They messed up HUGE and the first thing He did after addressing that is give them clothes (Genesis 3:21). Were they rags? No! They were made by Elohim Himself and He ONLY makes VERY GOOD things (Genesis 1:31). Rabbinic oral torah tradition held that they were robes so ornate that they became an heirloom passed down through kings (like Nimrod). Elohim’s gifts to us, the evidence of His goodness toward us, is NEVER dependent on our performance. “in order that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven, because he causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust” (Matthew 5:45). Elohim is a GOOD God. And everything around us proclaims that. Every human being who ever lived found truly good things (not bad they’re calling good, but truly and honestly good things) in their lives and every single one of those things came from Elohim as evidence of His goodness (James 1:17).

Your Daily Confession of Elohim’s Goodness:

I taste and see that Yahweh is good; I am blessed because I take refuge in Him.

Psalm 34:8
