Ruach HaKodesh “From the Beginning”

(All scripture from Lexham English Bible, Copyright 2012 Logos Bible Software)

when Yahweh God formed the man of dust from the ground, and he blew into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.
Genesis 2:7

This isn’t the earliest mention of Ruach HaKodesh, but it almost is. And it shows that Ruach HaKodesh is intimately involved in everything the Father does. Job references this as well in Job 33:4. Jesus released this same breath on us in John 20:22. Ruach HaKodesh is involved in all these things because He is the power that flows through the Word (Jesus) of God (the Father) so that the things going from thought (Father) to speech (Son) become reality (Ruach HaKodesh). “Now the earth was formless and empty, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters” (Genesis 1:2). The first obvious reference to Ruach HaKodesh. He hovers, He moves, and He rests in that motion.

In many ways, Ruach HaKodesh is the mother-heart of God. Not a female, but has the role we traditionally assign to females: nurturing, teaching, guiding, correcting, strengthening, and blessing. He is the ‘other half’ to ministry here on Earth. Whenever we see Jesus moving, it is Ruach HaKodesh He is moving through. The Breath carrying the Word from the Mouth of God Most High. Just as you need breath moving through the vocal cords to provide the vibrations which are words, Jesus uses Ruach HaKodesh to move here on Earth. That’s why the Father gave us Ruach HaKodesh. So that we would have what Jesus uses inside us and enable us to be used by Jesus. They are inseparable and work together in all things. They always have and they always will (Hebrews 13:8).

When we rightly proclaim that from Jesus came all things, through Jesus are all things, and to Jesus go all things (Romans 11:36), we are also proclaiming Ruach HaKodesh with Jesus. That’s how they work. They work hand in hand with each other, we work hand in hand with Ruach HaKodesh, so we work hand in hand with Elohim (Matthew 19:26). Ruach HaKodesh is not the new kid on the block. He didn’t dance move His way in through the Gospels anymore than Jesus did. They’ve been active before Creation was a gleam in the Father’s eye and will continue to be when the Father puts eternity to bed. Why don’t we need to go knocking on heaven’s door? Heaven has taken up residence within us (1 Corinthians 6:19).

There has never been a time that Ruach HaKodesh wasn’t active and moving. There has never been a time that the Breath of God wasn’t coming in and going out. Ruach HaKodesh is not a consolation prize because Jesus went home (John 16:7). He is part of the Godhead. Part of the plurality of the One True God. And He is inside you and inside me. Think of that power inside you. Waiting for the Word to initiate the Father’s Will, and giving life to YOUR body by His presence alone. Amen.

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Romans 5:8

but God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” His attitude toward us has NOTHING to do with our performance. When we were sinners and enemies of Elohim, He loved us enough to die for us. Why would we have to jump through hoops now? I’m not talking about obedience and following Him and renewing our mind and all of that right and good stuff. I mean His attitude toward us. He’s not angry. When we miss it, He’s not angry. Adam and Eve rebelled, did the worst thing ever done, and He gave them really well-made new clothes. Such good ones that stories have sprung up around them about people killing to possess them. Whether true or not, they MUST have been good since Elohim made them personally and He can’t make anything shoddy, bad, or poor. All He can do is bless with GOOD things. Because He is GOOD. And He doesn’t require our behaviour to be at a certain level to get them. He is GOOD. He is GOOD toward us. He’s been that way from the beginning and He isn’t going to stop. Because He is GOOD.

Your Daily Confession of Elohim’s Goodness:

I taste and see that Yahweh is good; I am blessed because I take refuge in Him.

Psalm 34:8
