Fear No Fear

Yes, I will restore you to health. I will heal your wounds. I, the Lord, affirm it! For you have been called an outcast, Zion, whom no one cares for.”
Jeremiah 30:17 (emphasis added)

This is a wonderful verse. It so clearly lays down a foundational truth of scripture. From one end of the Word to the other the Lord God declares Himself to be FAITHFUL. TRUTHFUL. ABLE TO DO. “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a human being, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it happen?” (Numbers 23:19). “Now to him who by the power that is working within us is able to do far beyond all that we ask or think, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen” (Ephesians 3:20-21). What would happen if we actually believed that? “And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Now Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend” (James 2:23).

That was back in Genesis 15:6 that Abram (Abraham) believed the Lord. He had been promised descendants. MANY descendants. That those descendants would have this land he lived in given to them. This is the ONLY promise. And guess what? He hadn’t gotten younger. Sarai (Sarah) hadn’t gotten younger. Neither of them could SEE how this thing was going to come to pass.

“For this reason it is by faith so that it may be by grace, with the result that the promise may be certain to all the descendants—not only to those who are under the law, but also to those who have the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all (as it is written, “I have made you the father of many nations”). He is our father in the presence of God whom he believed—the God who makes the dead alive and summons the things that do not yet exist as though they already do. Against hope Abraham believed in hope with the result that he became the father of many nations according to the pronouncement, “so will your descendants be.” Without being weak in faith, he considered his own body as dead (because he was about one hundred years old) and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver in unbelief about the promise of God but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God. He was fully convinced that what God promised he was also able to do. So indeed it was credited to Abraham as righteousness” (Romans 4:16-22).

Twenty-five years passed between the giving of the promise and the initial fulfilment of the promise in the person of Abraham’s son Isaac. It was four hundred and thirty years between the promise and the partial completion of the giving of the Law in the desert (Galatians 3:16-17). We know the Israelites didn’t go up into the Promised land right away because they chose not to believe the Lord. An entire generation passed away before they entered the Promised Land. Add another forty years. Then there was the time it took them to take the land itself. Add about another forty years. Rounding then gives us a figure of at least FIVE HUNDRED YEARS from the promise to Abram and the fulfilment by the Israelites. That is a LOOOOONNNGGGGG time to be waiting for a promise. But Abraham BELIEVED.

We can believe Him too. If ONE of us can believe and receive, then ALL of us can believe and receive. “For there is no partiality with God” (Romans 2:11). “Then Peter started speaking: “I now truly understand that God does not show favoritism in dealing with people” (Acts 10:34). Remember, that is ALL that it takes. HEAR from the Word, BELIEVE the Word, RECEIVE from the Word. That’s it. That is how we get EVERYTHING. From salvation to wisdom to sustenance (physical AND spiritual) to relief from tormentors to prosperity (spirit, mind, and body) to healing. It is ALL done by WORDS, BELIEF, and RECEIVING.

Look at the beginning of the Word. Yahweh told the Word what to say, the Word said it, the Holy Spirit received the word and it came to be. And it was so, and it was so, and it was so. Day after day. It is HOW Yahweh operates. He never stopped. We have promises upon promises upon promises in the Word. Some had a short period of time from release to occurrence, some did not. Every promise came to be in the time it NEEDED to be heard, believed, and received. “The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some regard slowness, but is being patient toward you because he does not wish for any to perish but for all to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).

Do you BELIEVE? Have you been renewing your mind in order to truly believe? Jesus told us to seek the Lord first and everything else comes after (Matthew 6:33). According to Strong’s Concordance, the word SEEKS is zētéō – properly, to seek by inquiring; to investigate to reach a binding (terminal) resolution; to search, getting to the bottom of a matter. We get faith how? By HEARING THE WORD OF GOD. By investigating the Word. What does God tell us to do? “But examine all things; hold fast to what is good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Check Him out. Read. Examine. Think about it. ASK Him about it. The Holy Spirit is here as a TEACHER (John 14:26). Yahweh is a GOOD GOD. He DOES what He SAYS that He can do. Period. This is TRUTH. Seek it out.

In today’s verse the Lord says that He WILL heal us. That He WILL restore us. He says that He AFFIRMS it! That’s great. Better than great. It boggles the human mind. So why aren’t we all shouting this from the rooftops? That Yahweh God DOES WHAT HE SAYS! Because let’s face it, in this world of ours, someone who does what they say? Every time? Without fail? EVER? That’s as rare as a virgin birth. ONLY GOD saves. ONLY GOD keeps His word EVERY TIME WITHOUT FAIL. That is TREMENDOUS.

What’s the hard part? The in-between. If you go to God for healing, God heals you. In fact, He did the work of healing two thousand years ago. Jesus suffered for our souls, our minds, AND our bodies. By His stripes, bruises, and wounds, we WERE HEALED. It has HAPPENED. Add to that all the promises of Yahweh about He WILL heal us, He WILL restore us, and that He is ALWAYS THE SAME and you have a powerful position. A position where the healing power of God is over you. It is resting in the palm of His hand. That hand is directly in front of you – you don’t need to jump for it, work for it, strive for it, or anything. All you need to do is receive it. Reach out and seize it. Stand on the Word and declare yourself healed ONLY because YAHWEH says you are healed. Already. Done.

But you may not see it. You may not feel it. Those doctor visits or surgeries or medication may be continuing. Every time you take a pill tell it you are FREE from pills. Every doctor’s visit, declare you are FREE from visits. Every surgery, declare you are FREE from surgeries. Whatever you are ENDURING, declare to it that you are FREE from enduring that. Speak the WORD to it. Every time. The WORD is what we’re standing on. We’re healed because YAHWEH says so, not because we’re tired of it. We’re whole because the WORD declares it so, NOT because we don’t want to FEEL this way anymore. Our FEELS, WANTS, DESIRES, and ANYTHING of our SELVES mean NOTHING to this process.

“The Spirit is the one who gives life; human nature is of no help! The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life” (John 6:63). The flesh is NOTHING. It is USELESS. It is by the spirit that things are accomplished. NOT OURS, but HIS. The Spirit of Christ that lives inside of us. “But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is your life because of righteousness. Moreover if the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, the one who raised Christ from the dead will also make your mortal bodies alive through his Spirit who lives in you” (Romans 8:10-11). The SPIRIT gives life. YAHWEH WILL HEAL YOU.

Because you’re ALREADY HEALED. Believe it. Receive it.

Investigate the Word on this. Look up the verses. Read them. Dwell on them. Think on them. Over and over and over again. Declare the promises Yahweh has spoken over you and HOLD to it. Don’t let go. NEVER let go. I don’t think you’ll have to wait five hundred years, but Psalm 91 tells us the obedient servant of the Lord is satisfied with long life so you CAN double-down and wait as long as you want. Regardless of TIME, STAND. Yahweh is the FATHER of eternity. In the Lord, time means NOTHING. Stand. Stand. STAND. He WILL heal you. He WILL restore you. It is ALREADY DONE. Amen.

Daily Affirmation Jesus IS Messiah: Genesis 49:10

“The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs; the nations will obey him.” David was told his offspring would rule forever and his descendants would stay on the throne as long as they obeyed and put Yahweh first. They did not and part of the nation was taken away from them – but Judah remained. Down the line it went. Unbroken from David’s offspring to Jesus – though not of Solomon’s line. Jesus is traced through the royal blood of Nathan. As written in Jesus’ genealogy: “the son of Melea, the son of Menna, the son of Mattatha, the son of Nathan, the son of David, the son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Boaz, the son of Sala, the son of Nahshon, the son of Amminadab, the son of Admin, the son of Arni, the son of Hezron, the son of Perez, the son of Judah,” (Luke 3:31-33, emphasis mine). Messiah was to be a seed of Judah. Jesus is a descendant of the House of Judah. Jesus IS Messiah.
