Ruach HaKodesh “Spirit Filling”

(All scripture from Lexham English Bible, Copyright 2012 Logos Bible Software)

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
1 Corinthians 6:19

This is one of the most exciting verses in the entire Bible and has helped me in so many situations of trust. Jesus dwells in us by trust (Ephesians 3:17). We have to believe God exists and trust He rewards those who seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). Trust is how we please God. Trust is how we receive from God (Luke 18:42-43). This verse is so vivid to me, it has changed how I think about the inside of myself.

How can I let myself experience less than I can when THAT is the image I see in me? It’s hard to grab ahold of something you can’t see, right? That’s why we struggle with the concept of a deity in the first place. You can’t see them with your natural eyes, so how can they be real? Except since Jesus IS real, we see the effects of His presence. We can see the supernatural take place. But to get to the physical arrival of that supernatural act, we need to see it in the spiritual world first. See it to be it. That’s how it works. We say believing because we see it. We know we have it because we see it. We can kick doubts to the curb if we hold fast to what we see.  What I see in me is Ruach HaKodesh at work.

It’s like the animated films Osmosis Jones and Inside Out. Except instead of little cartoon people inside me, I see the Living God striding around. I see the NAME written with golden letters and radiating with the Glory of Elohim. I see light bursting through my organs and vessels and arteries. Filling every cavity, bathing every cell wall, and pushing out every pain, every germ, every ill, and every sickness. I see my body realigning itself. I see things work the way they should. I declare my freedom from deterioration. And I use the Word on healing to do it. I’m not asking for wants, I’m claiming my rights. I see myself getting more able and more functional. I am not weak, I’m strong. I am not getting feeble, senile, ‘old’, or non-functional. I’m the Righteousness of Elohim in Messiah Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). I’m renewed and restored (Isaiah 40:31). I get life in my body from the DNA up because Ruach HaKodesh is on me and in me (Romans 8:11). I’m wall to wall Spirit of Elohim (Romans 8:9. And in Jesus I am NEW (2 Corinthians 5:17). I can see it working though my trust in Adonai and my standing on what HE said I have. With that image inside me and with those scriptures to declare, it is EASY to trust in Jesus’ finished work on the cross (Matthew 8:16-17; 1 Peter 2:24).

Everything in the Kingdom is like that. See Ruach HaKodesh moving. Find out what He is saying about the promises of the Word. Pray about it. Meditate on them. Study them out and find other passages that support them (Matthew 18:16). See Ruach HaKodesh in them. See Jesus in them. Place your trust in them and believe. Ruach HaKodesh is the Spirit of TRUTH. He won’t lie. When you KNOW that, you won’t entertain doubt – you’ll kick it to the curb! What makes this stuff easy is Him. It’s our experiential encounters with Him. It’s seeing Jesus’ words come to pass. Seeing Jesus there. When we know on whom we depend (1 John 4:16), and how dependable He is (Psalm 9:10), then it’s *almost* automatic to believe in our trust. But we have Ruach HaKodesh right there to help us remind ourselves of what Jesus has done, where we came from, and what He said about it. To help us see Him inside us. Filling us up so much that nothing else can get in there. There’s too much Glory for doubt to fit.

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Romans 12:2

And do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, so that you may approve what is the good and well-pleasing and perfect will of God.” Why do we have to renew our minds? Or rather, why do we need to allow Adonai to renew our minds with the Word? Because otherwise we wouldn’t really understand the goodness He is offering. We just wouldn’t GET it. I mean, all we knew before Him was broken thinking and broken ways. Those habits and patterns of thinking still remain. How are we even supposed to RECOGNISE a good thing? The world is broken. We’re surrounded by broken people. That’s a lot of multi-coloured, dual-stereo flesh dancing. If we didn’t get renewed, we wouldn’t spot it. There is so much goodness we would miss. We need His true goodness. Thank Him frequently that He loves us enough to fix our thinking so that we can see and taste of what He has prepared for us. Get into the Word and start intently thinking about it. Don’t wait to spot His good for you.

I taste and see that Yahweh is good; I am blessed because I take refuge in Him.
