Ruach HaKodesh “More Than”

(All scripture from Lexham English Bible, Copyright 2012 Logos Bible Software)

For this reason I say to you, do not be anxious for your life, what you will eat, and not for your body, what you will wear. Is your life not more than food and your body more than clothing?

Matthew 6:25

We are not ‘normal’. We are not the same as other people wandering about. We are no longer ‘fallen’ in every way. Yes, our flesh is made of this dirt stuff and will come to an end when we simultaneously receive physical Spirit stuff exactly as Jesus did. But the rest of us is no longer fallen. We have been restored to what we always should have been – our spirits perfectly and our souls to the degree we renew our minds. We are NEW (2 Corinthians 5:27) in Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). We are fully one-third Ruach HaKodesh (1 Corinthians 6:19). You know what came with that? Legal rights.

But as many as received him—to those who believe in his name—he gave to them authority to become children of God, who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of a husband, but of God” (John 1:12-13). We are children of Elohim – male and female. That means we have legal rights as His family. That’s the authority we have in Jesus. That’s the dominion we have here on Earth in Jesus (He got us the keys back – Revelation 1:18; Matthew 16:18-19). We also have FAMILIAL rights. We are part of the family and have the RIGHT to be treated by the Father the same way Jesus was when He was here ministering on Earth. Jesus never begged. Jesus was never out of money. Jesus had a home/roof over his head (Luke 9:58 is talking about persecution – Jesus was never accepted). Jesus always had food OR a way to get food (John 4:8). Jesus always had clothes (nice ones too – Matthew 27:35). Jesus had no lack because He looked His Father as His source. “Yahweh is my shepherd; I will not lack for anything” (Psalm 23:1).

This will be true in the spiritual realm as much as it is in the physical realm. Our Father takes care of our needs. We will never lack – doesn’t mean we will always have everything that catches our eye (James 4:3). But if He will do that for us physically, what will He do spiritually? So. Much. More. And the truth is that as our beyond-the-physical reality grows, it will create growth in the natural world. “Dear friend, I pray you may prosper concerning everything and be healthy, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 2). The Kingdom is so much greater than we can imagine – and most of us can imagine quite a bit. It also lasts a lot longer. That is one of the reasons Jesus told us not to worry about the physical needs we have like food and drink. Everything we go through here is majorly short term. “For our momentary light affliction is producing in us an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure and proportion, because we are not looking at what is seen, but what is not seen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is not seen is eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:17-18). If we feel we’re lacking, from a time point of view, it isn’t for long even if it is your entire life. Religious thinking has run with that idea. But Jesus ties it to NOT lacking. He makes the point that as children of Elohim, there will be no lack because Elohim LOVES us – and Jesus gave 33 years of living that reality as a path for us to follow.

Ruach HaKodesh is the power of Almighty Elohim and He lives inside us. Anything the Father wants to do? It’s going to be RIGHT THERE. It’s going to start spiritually and bless everything it comes into contact with on the way out. We have the Name of Jesus in and on us. Elohim blesses that on which He has placed His name (Numbers 6:27). This is about more than the food in your cupboard or having clean water to drink. This is about EVERY spiritual blessing and all the tools He gives so we can accomplish our assignments (Ephesians 1:3). This is about adjusting our mindset and realising at a deep heart level that our Father is GOOD and will ALWAYS abundantly take care of us – now and forever and beyond.

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Psalm 31:19

How abundant is your goodness that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you perform for those who take refuge in you before the children of humankind.” Not everyone is an obedient (loving) child of Elohim – although everyone CAN be. For those who are in Jesus, they are not only children, but heirs (Romans 8:17). What do heirs get? Inheritance. Elohim has stored up goodness for those who would accept salvation and the invitation to become His children. Goodness covers many things. Good spiritual things. Good physical things. Abundant goodness is saved and stored up for use by those who take refuge in Jesus. He isn’t just about safety, but also about care. He loves us too much to only do one. He wants to do it all. He is a GOOD God.

Your Daily Confession of Elohim’s Goodness:

I taste and see that Yahweh is good; I am blessed because I take refuge in Him.

Psalm 34:8
