Fear No Fear

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but it speaks of the end, and does not lie. If it delays, wait for it; it will surely come, it will not delay” (Habakkuk 2:3, LEB). God has a level of patience that we struggle to understand. So we look at His long-suffering and in the world around us (or our particular circumstances) we see lasting offense or hardship enduring. We see the wicked prosper. We see the twisted, broken ways of this world not only continuing, but getting twistier. We cry out to God and nothing seems to change. Does that mean God isn’t paying attention? Does that mean God doesn’t care? That wicked behaviour is getting a free pass? Often, we think yes. It’s not true. “The Lord is not delaying the promise, as some consider slowness, but is being patient toward you, because he does not want any to perish, but all to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9, LEB). Judgment is coming. A reckoning is coming. The promised result is coming. It is ALL coming. Never let yourself think God doesn’t care, that God is indifferent, or that God has decided to let sin slide. If there is delay, it is a witness to His Grace and Mercy (Hebrews 10:31). None of us are getting by with ANYTHING. This is our time to repent, change our thinking, change our behaviour, and get into harmony with God. Us and everyone else too. Don’t waste this time trying to do things yourself. You’re not going to benefit cramming for this test. Take the answer from God’s hand. Put yourself in Jesus, and get onto His frequency today.
