And the Spirit said to Philip, “Approach and join this chariot.”
Acts 8:29
Ruach HaKodesh is not a brain floating in spiritual space. He has an ACTIVE role in the believer’s life – if we’ll let Him. He is not always the one delivering the message to go (Acts 8:26). Sometimes He might be the one saying no (Acts 16:6). Whichever is the case in any given situation, when we are obedient to Him, we are in a place where He can command and appoint us.
If Phillip hadn’t obeyed the angel and gone to that road, Ruach HaKodesh would not have been able to tell him to get close to the Ethiopian – which led to a man getting saved. If Paul hadn’t obeyed and kept to where he was allowed to go, would he have been able to minister in Macedonia when the hearts of the people were ready to listen? We have to obey if we want to be in the right place for His time. Remember, it isn’t MY way or YOUR way, it’s Yah’s way.
Ruach HaKodesh can also appoint us to positions. Teachers and apostles. Deacons and worship leaders. Ruach HaKodesh – just like Jesus – has His fingers in the entire church pie. From the four-fold ministry (Ephesians 4:11 – Apostles, prophets, evangelists, and pastor/teachers) to the layperson scrubbing floors. Each and every one interests Him. Each position has a specific person for it (for a season or a group of seasons). Ruach HaKodesh appoints us all to our work as well as equipping us to accomplish it.
Throughout our journey walking His paths, we need to make sure we are listening. He is a real person with real ideas. They aren’t any old ideas, either. They are the ideas of the Most High. They speak of the positions we are appointed to. They speak to the directives we are given and expected to obey – because why wouldn’t we obey the One we love so much? Ruach HaKodesh is intimately involved in our lives, our place in the Kingdom, and our ministry while we are here on Earth.
Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Psalm 119:68
“You are good and do good; teach me your statutes.” We know Elohim is good. And we know that Elohim does good. And if we truly love Him, we want to be like Him. We want to be like the people we admire and look up to. We want to be like those who act like we want to, have what we want to have, and have lives like we want to have. While we cannot have His life, we can embody what He says our life should be – emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. One of the ways we walk in that, is to be like He is. How we do that is to follow His statutes. That’s what Jesus did. And we want to walk as He did. So we have to learn the statutes. Not simply read them. But to KNOW them. Understanding their intent and the value of what underpins them. To know them in a way that forever keeps them in our minds and guard posts of our behaviour. It is a merciful kindness that Yahweh has laid out for us the objective behaviour that is righteousness in such a simple way. It is a Blessing that Ruach HaKodesh has been given to instruct and help us into the revelation of those behaviours. It is total GRACE that we are equipped in Jesus to succeed where we cannot. He is a GOOD God.
Your Daily Confession of Elohim’s Goodness:
I taste and see that Yahweh is good; I am blessed because I take refuge in Him.
