Fear No Fear

“Where I can go from your Spirit, or where can I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, there you are, and if I make my bed in Sheol, look! There you are. If I lift up the wings of the dawn, and I alight on the far side of the sea, even there your hand would lead me, and your right hand would hold me fast.”

Psalm 139:7-10

To be omnipresent is to be widely or constantly encountered. In other words, common or widespread. It is also to be everywhere at once. I rather like the first one. Widely and constantly encountered. It blends well with Ruach HaKodesh moving over the waters at the beginning of Creation. Someone who will be there every time you turn around. Every time you’re in need. Every time you look up. Every corner you turn. There. And there. And there. And over there too. Everywhere you go, everything you do, He’ll be right there with you.

It’s important to note that He isn’t WATCHING us, but there WITH us. It’s an important distinction. We watch people all the time. We see them having fun. We see them in trouble. We see them drunk. We see them sad. We see them homeless. But we don’t necessarily help them. We don’t step in. We watch, but we’re not with. It comes down to a basic truth: we don’t love those we are seeing. Thank Yahweh, He LOVES us. Ruach HaKodesh is very much proof of that because He is with us and does not leave us.

We are a curious species. I’ve often felt that Elohim created us curious because He loves to show us things. He reveals wonders that He has made just to see the smile on our face. As a curious species, we’ve gone just about everywhere we can. Up mountains, into jungles, down ravines, under the oceans, into the skies, and into the heavens (space). Everywhere we’ve gone, in every kind of suit, and in every kind of vehicle, Ruach HaKodesh has been there with us. No matter how far we travel – even to Mars – we will always have Ruach HaKodesh with us. That is the power of a promise from Adonai Elohim. “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee” (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Only Elohim can truly be omnipresent. Ruach HaKodesh’s continual presence throughout the Body of Messiah, covering the entire globe, as well as His presence around the unbelievers who populate this globe, prove beyond a shadow that Ruach HaKodesh is Elohim. Indivisible and intimately entwined with the Father and the Son. The take away is that no matter where we find ourselves, no matter the situation or circumstance, we are NOT alone. The all-powerful and all-knowing Spirit of the Living God is WITH us. Led by His hand and held fast in His grip. Safe, secure, and tabernacled with (John 1:14).

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: 1 John 1:5

“And this is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light and there is no darkness in him at all.” Light helps us to see. It helps us to power our devices. It helps plants to grow. There is more energy in light than we have figured out how to extract. And that’s just the pale imitation of true light that we call the sun. Imagine the power and versatility of Elohim’s Light. Light with no absence of ANY kind. Darkness isn’t a thing in and of itself, but only degrees of the absence of light (the idea that light needs darkness to exist is laughable). Our imperfect physical light always has some shade of darkness to it whether from inconsistency of the flares on the solar surface, a cloud coming by, or the rotation of the earth. The perfect light of Elohim, however, lights our spirits and souls in ways that are almost indescribable. The sure source of energy and growth and sight that helps us in every aspect of our lives in every place we find ourselves doing everything that we need to do. What a GOOD God we serve.
