Fear No Fear

“For God speaks once, yes twice, yet man does not perceive it” (Job 33:14, MEV). Stop knocking on heaven’s doors. They’re open. Stop deciding that you’re in a ‘season’ of silence. You aren’t in a desert bereft of resources. You’re not on a plateau without guidance. God NEVER stops speaking to us. It is WE who aren’t listening. That’s not to say we don’t have plateaus and deserts, but they are largely of our making. Our actions, beliefs, and mindsets make them necessary places where we can get renewal from the Word because we are leaning into Him. We need to learn His ways. We need to alter our thinking to be in harmony with Him. He doesn’t change. It is we who need to change and He will use anything that comes our way to help us decide to get in line with Him. He’ll use the desert. He’ll use the plateau. He will also use the totally obedient ‘yes’ to everything He asks from us. He’ll use everything. And through it all, He’s talking to us. Providing the oxygen tanks on the plateau. Providing the oasis in the desert. We’re NEVER without deep water and good bread – as long as we keep our ears open to hear and obey His voice. The voice that may be quiet, but is always constant. He never stops talking. We need to pay attention.
