Ruach HaKodesh “Eternal”

(All scripture from Lexham English Bible, Copyright 2012 Logos Bible Software)

how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works to serve the living God?

Hebrews 9:14

You almost don’t need to say anything else, do you? the eternal Spirit says it all. Ruach HaKodesh is eternal. We know Ruach HaKodesh is Elohim and Elohim is Ruach HaKodesh. The Father, the Son, Ruach HaKodesh: the Great I AM, Yahweh. Adonai Elohim. Since Ruach HaKodesh is THE Spirit of Elohim, then we can see that He is eternal because Elohim is eternal. “I command you, in the sight of God who gives life to all things and Christ Jesus who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you observe the commandment without fault, irreproachable until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which he will make known in his own time, the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of those who reign as kings and Lord of those who rule as lords, the one who alone possesses immortality, who lives in unapproachable light, whom no human being has seen nor is able to see, to whom be honor and eternal power. Amen” (1 Timothy 6:13-16).

In fact, Elohim is more than eternal. ‘eternal’ is a concept that Elohim created so that we will have a concept we can KIND OF understand. We can grasp what it means, even if we can’t get our minds around it. We are so much creatures of time, we perceive everything as it relates to time. Not just time, but the arrow of time travelling in one direction. For Elohim, however, none of the rules apply. It can get quite mind-numbing when you get into the concepts of time and how they relate to everyone in and outside of it. But Isaiah 9:6 tells us that Elohim is the ‘Father of eternity’. Which really means that Elohim is greater than the eternity concept that He gave us to understand His unending existence and nature. Our life here is day to day. When we die we enter the timeless eternity. Which is something Elohim is above and beyond. That’s eternal in the most eternal way.

Ruach HaKodesh is not a passing phase. He isn’t someone who came into existence when Jesus got baptised. He is there right from the VERY beginning and is there right to the VERY end AND beyond through eternity itself to the other side where Elohim sits. There is no beginning to Him. There is no end to Him. He won’t disappear. He won’t fail. He won’t lose. He won’t stop. He is reliable. He is there for us. He will ALWAYS be with us. We are joined, combined, and connected thoroughly, totally, and forever and ever. And then a whole lot more.

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Exodus 34:5-7

And Yahweh descended in the cloud, and he stood with him there, and he proclaimed the name of Yahweh. And Yahweh passed over before him, and he proclaimed, “Yahweh, Yahweh, God, who is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding with loyal love and faithfulness, keeping loyal love to the thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and he does not leave utterly unpunished, punishing the guilt of fathers on sons and on sons of sons on third and fourth generations.”” Slow to anger. Oh, how grateful I am for that. Keeping loyal love for thousands of generations. Oh, how BEAUTIFUL that is. And the not leaving unpunished? I am so VERY VERY thankful we are no longer under that Covenant of judgment, but instead live under a Covenant of GRACE. A Covenant dominated by Elohim’s Mercy and Loyal Love. He taught us what was right from His point of view. He taught us we couldn’t keep to it all under our own efforts and steam. And then He taught us that Jesus could, did, and saved us from the judgment. How awesome is that? How great is His loyal love and mercy? What a GOOD God we have!

I taste and see that Yahweh is good; I am blessed because I take refuge in Him.
