Fear No Fear

“For I am the Lord your God. You shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and you shall be holy, for I am holy. Neither shall you defile yourselves with any manner of crawling thing that moves on the ground” (Leviticus 11:44, MEV). Don’t listen to the snake or the lies it was fed by the devil (Genesis 3:1, 14). We are told to sanctify ourselves to be holy before the Lord. How? Jesus was VERY clear. We are to return to the Word. By choice. With intent to see Him and learn. When we return to the Word we come to understand the (objective) truth and are sanctified which sets us apart as holy to Him (John 17:17). There is NO holiness where there is NO Word. We CANNOT do away with the Word, but instead we need to study it. Learn it.  To consume it like bread and drink it in like water. It is what sustains us and will be life to our bodies – physical, mental, and spiritual (Proverbs 4:22). Start today. Right now. Get out the Word and apply yourself to reading it. A little or a lot, get into it every day and pray before you read asking Jesus to reveal Himself to you in what you read. Ask Holy Spirit to speak to you – He is the ULTIMATE commentary. God will NOT leave you to flounder. He will use the Word to retrain your mind so that you see, identify, and apply His Truth. It will change your life and unlock the overcoming victory that we have access to in Jesus by what Jesus has done and is doing as our High Priest (Hebrews 4:14-16). The Word is a living, breathing, very real thing. Explore it and let it explore you.
