“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of His dear Son, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:13-14). We were merchandise in a warehouse and marked for junking. Useless for anything and doomed to the scrap pile. But someone bought the warehouse and all it contained. We were saved from the chopping block. We were exchanged. Now all we have to do is walk out. Out of that dingy warehouse and into the light. Out to where we can live and move and BE. Redemption isn’t the end. It is the point at the beginning where we are saved so that we can have a life. It is the point where we discover we have an inheritance and aren’t going to be bankrupt after all. It is the keys to a car full of gas and the license to start driving down the highway. Thank GOD we are redeemed. That we can discover the Way we are to go. That we can learn how to get near to Him and then get near to Him and stay there as we move together through life. This is a journey of MOVEMENT and MOTION within that movement. It is exciting and ever-renewing and an utterly totally unmerited GIFT from Him to us. What a GOOD God Yahweh is. Thank you Jesus for redeeming us and thank you Holy Spirit for taking us by the hand and showing us the Way forward in Jesus. Amen.
