Fear No Fear

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may declare the goodness of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9). God wanted us to be a nation of priests (Exodus 19:6). A people owned by God (Exodus 22:29), but with bonds of love and not chains of bondage. Freely choosing to be slaves to our Good God (Exodus 21:5), piercing our ears with the awl of the cross (Galatians 5.24; Romans 8.13-14), and entering into a love relationship. Seeking His face so that we might be sanctified and made holy in Him (John 17:17; 2 Corinthians 5:21). Not our efforts, our loving submission to His yoke (Matthew 11:28-30). We were CHOSEN for this. This is our time. This is our year. It is ALWAYS our time and ALWAYS our year. Hear the call and answer. Come to Him. Seek His face. He WILL be found. He WILL be found. Your loving Father stands at the road eagerly waiting to see you — and when He sees you coming, He’ll run to grab you in a bear hug and declare you HOME.
