Fear No Fear

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit, and there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord, and there are varieties of activities, but the same God, who works all things in all people. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for what is beneficial to all.

1 Corinthians 12:4-7

Verse 4, Ruach HaKodesh is the carrier of the gifts. Verse 5, Jesus is the administrator of the gifts. Verse 6, the Father directs the administration of the gifts. The Trinity of the One True God – Yahweh – is on display here. This is why it is so very important not to blaspheme the work of Ruach HaKodesh (Matthew 12:31-32; Mark 3:28-30; Luke 12:10). Yahweh is in ALL the works of His Spirit, and His Spirit is in ALL the works of Yahweh. Which brings up another point. You could argue semantically that the miracles, signs, and wonders have passed away from people; but here it makes it VERY clear that the miracles, signs, and wonders (even the weird ones to our eyes) are of Yahweh God Almighty. He NEVER passes away, so there will be NO POINT EVER where the gifts of Ruach HaKodesh are not appropriate, present, and physically among us in a visible and demonstrable way.

What’s the takeaway then? Although there are various gifts and various ways to administrate those gifts, they are all done by Jesus, through Ruach HaKodesh, according to the will of the Father. It is ALL Adonai’s doing from front to back to front again. It is for His glory. It is for His plan. It is subject to His authority. It doesn’t matter WHO the believer is, they are subject to this system. It is how it works. Period. You cannot use a gift for your own glory in much the same way as you won’t see miracles happen if your glory is what will be the result. That’s not to say people don’t try and usurp the glory or that there aren’t charlatans out there counterfeiting gifts or that the devil isn’t counterfeiting gifts to confuse and trap the lost – or to turn the world off to the gifts. All of that happens. But that is all outside the system or an attempt to replicate the system. In some cases it is even mocking the system. Adonai’s system, set up for use by Adonai’s people, will ALWAYS follow His structure.

If you look at Galatians 5:22-23 you see a list of the nine types of Fruit that Ruach HaKodesh ‘grows’. Singular Fruit with nine characteristics is the other way to look at it. Multiple options available to EVERY believer. What’s the most important fruit? The one you need right now. With GIFTINGS though, we’re not dealing with Fruit available to all. We’re dealing with giftings administered by Jesus. A believer could use more than one, or maybe just one, or maybe they’re not yet mature enough to walk in the calling. It’s all at the behest of Jesus who always.does what the Father says to do (John 5:19). We only operate with what we’ve been appointed to. There is more than one way to be appointed to a gifting, more than one way to operate a gifting, and more than one way to use a gifting.

Variety is the spice of Jesus’ abundant life (John 10:10; Romans 12:4). It’s okay to be different. Don’t try to be another’s anointing. Don’t copy so and so’s preaching or teaching. Don’t do things the same way others do them simply because they do them that way. Do what you are led to by Ruach HaKodesh, not what you observe. Jesus spat on people. Are you going to spit on people because He did? You could, but it might not get the same results. Peter walked on water. Mostly. You can walk on water. It’s POSSIBLE. But Jesus only did it ONCE because only that ONE time was He directed to because only that ONE time did it bring glory to Adonai. If you try and do it without being told by Adonai, without receiving that calling, you’ll be very wet. Possible doesn’t mean yes. The bible says I can handle a poisonous snake. But it would need to be one placed to intentionally do me harm (context matters), not one I stumble across minding its business in its own territory. The first beings glory to Adonai (oh, how He protects His children). The second is foolishness (oh, why did you decide to do that?). Difference means we can meet EVERY need, when we do it by, in, and through Jesus’ instructions.

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Romans 8:38-39

“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” There are a lot of things in the world. People, groups, companies, governments, religious groups, entertainments, employment, relationships, sicknesses, medical procedures, sports, hobbies, interests, and probably a dozen or more other things.  They are all able to take our attention away from Adonai. Some of them are dedicated to removing us from Adonai’s influence. Whether it is us causing the issue or an external force trying to cause the issue, we have the solemn promise of Adonai that we will NEVER be without His presence – whether we FEEL it or not. By our trust in Him, se can engage our belief that He is with us whether we are in the lows or the highs of our feelings. We can choose Joy and Praise and Thanksgiving by our trust, and not have to rely on anything else because HE promised HE is RIGHT THERE! What a GOOD God!
