Fear No Fear

“The wicked walk on every side, when the worthless of mankind are exalted” (Psalm 12:8). Sadly, this verse is true for EVERY age. Anytime anyone is reading it, it is for their day. And the longer the wicked APPEAR to be getting away with it (Proverbs 11:21), the more this seems true. Morals and right standing are on the way out pretty much all the time. Things that were never heard of fifty years ago are on sitcoms for teens. The world will say that it’s because we’re changing as a society. Developing. Evolving. But the Law of Entropy shows it is de-volving. Deteriorating. We ARE changing as a society, but not for the better. The wicked strut and call it freedom. My heart hurts for them when I see it. They are SO lost. Unfortunately, they are not being shown as much light from our witness as they could be. There is always room for improvement in our lives. Instead of shouting at them their current ultimate destination, perhaps we could show them by the vast difference living in the Kingdom makes that there’s something here. Not condoning the behaviour, but also not condemning. Easy to do when it is Holy Spirit running your mouth and advising your actions. Lean into His wisdom and knowledge (James 1:5; John 16:13-15). They should know us by our LOVE, the pure love of Jesus that allowed no sin, but also didn’t shame. The wicked may strut, but we can walk in love. Our light will be bright and show them for who they are and their deeds to be the rotten fruit it really is.
