Fear No Fear

“May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob defend you;” (Psalm 20:1, MEV). Call on the Lord. Cry out to the Lord. NOT to break down the doors of heaven – they are open. NOT so that He hears you up in heaven – He lives inside your heart. When you hit trouble, ask God for help. Why? Because it shows HE is your source. It shows HE is who you rely on. It shows HE is the one you want to supply you with answers. It shows HE is the first one on your mind. It shows trust in Him. Who doesn’t like being asked for help from their little onea, even when you know you’ll give it regardless? But when they get a little older, you want them to ask or you won’t help. Because maybe they don’t want it. Maybe they are insisting on their own way and their own efforts. Maybe they don’t want you. When they ask, even though you were ready and able the whole time, that is when you act. When you are facing trouble, facing a decision, or facing ANYTHING at all; ask Him. Speak to Him. He’s right there never leaving you, so ask. You’d ask a friend who was hanging with you, right? This is the Creator of the Universe who has taken up residence inside of you through Holy Spirit. Why would you now want His opinion on EVERYTHING? And then, why would you not want to obey Him – even when you don’t understand the whys and wherefores? He is WORTH consulting. He is WORTH obeying. He is GOD ALMIGHTY and He is RIGHT THERE. When you have a need, a decision, a question, or a situation; talk to Him. Call to Him. He has PROMISED to answer and there is SUCH confidence in that, it will kill ALL anxiety when the revelation is in your heart. Ask. He answers. Every time.
