Fear No Fear

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1). I shall not WANT. I shall not DECREASE. I will GROW. Why? That’s who God IS. He moves FORWARD, not backwards. He isn’t here to steal, kill, or destroy. He is here to set us free, remove bondage, heal the sick and brokenhearted, bless, encourage, preach His Gospel, and stretch us (Luke 4:18-19). He is a GROWTH God (Psalm 34:9-10; 115:14). This isn’t a get rich quick scheme. Riches are the LEAST thing in the Kingdom. We walk on streets of gold, right? The riches of the Earth are PAVEMENT! God is concerned for so much MORE. The riches of the spirit put us in a place where we can handle the riches of this planet. Because we will be digging deeper into the Word. We’ll be seeking His face. We’ll be praising His Name. We’ll be blessing everyone around us with everything we can as He leads us – and He WILL lead. The focus won’t be on our comfort, our possessions, our bank account, or anything but HIM. The other things are flames to attract the moths of this world. To look at us and say ‘how do you manage that in this financial climate?’. To see us JOYFUL whether we’re dealing with persecution or a struggle with something. To see LOVE in the face of rudeness, strife, and flaunted sinful acts. To see CONTENTMENT where we are even as we improve, grow, and stretch. To see WILLINGNESS to let go of any or all of it the MINUTE God asks. To see us walking without lack, needs met, and enough left over to bless our neighbours, friends, and strangers – just like Jesus when He was here (nice clothes, a house that held a lot of people, and so generous that it was assumed He was blessing the poor in the late hours of the night during one of the commanded festivals). We will NOT decrease, but increase to HIS GLORY. The world will look at the whole sphere of our whole lives and say ‘I want that!’ Amen.
