Fear No Fear

Then large crowds came to him bringing with them the lame, blind, crippled, mute, and many others. They laid them at his feet, and he healed them.

There are several classifications of disease because humans love to classify things (Genesis 2:19-20). They are (1) topographic, by bodily region or system, (2) anatomic, by organ or tissue, (3) physiological, by function or effect, (4) pathological, by the nature of the disease process, (5) etiologic (causal), (6) juristic, by speed of advent of death, and (7) epidemiological. Like in today’s verse, there are several spread throughout the Gospels where it tells us different types of sickness and disease that Jesus healed. Again and again, Jesus ticks off our human boxes. Jesus healed on 31 separate occasions and hit every one of the categories of sickness. Jesus truly healed ALL.

I don’t want to degenerate into a list here, but there are many available online with details and verses for each. To give a sweep Jesus healed those: close to death, possessed by evil, impure, or demonic spirits, fever, leprosy, paralysis, paralysing pain, withered limbs, chronic blood disease, blindness, those unable to speak, invalids, seizures, cripples, abnormal swelling of limbs, lameness, and severed limbs. He also raised THREE people from the dead. You will also find verses saying Jesus healed ‘many’, ‘everyone’, and ‘all’. Jesus hit the entire spread of human illness, disease, and oppression. Even death. There is NOTHING that Jesus could not do.

They brought these people to Him because they TRUSTED that He could do it. Those Jesus came across responded to Him and in some cases obeyed His directions because they TRUSTED that He could do it. Trust is the other side of the BELIEVING coin. We can believe that something IS, but without trust we won’t expect it. If we don’t expect it, our hands won’t be out to receive it. Can you see that? Can you see the connection? Can you see why we are called to have faith based on trust-grounded obedience (Romans 1:5)? It is NOT because Adonai wants us working to earn. It is because Adonai doesn’t want us to MISS His Blessing.

The Blessing is not a one-track deal. It is for our WHOLE selves. Body, soul, and spirit. ALL of us. Every aspect. Every area. Every category. ANYTHING LESS is NOT a biblical OR Godly teaching. It is a flat out LIE and a doctrine of demons (1 Timothy 4:1-2). How much is Adonai going to pour that Blessing on you? Exactly how much you TRUST and BELIEVE and have FAITH for. It is THAT clear. It is THAT simple. If we honour Him with humble obedience, He will overflow His Blessing on us (Proverbs 3:9-10). If we honour Him, His Word, and His promises, we WILL be Blessed. There are no two ways about it. This is how it IS.

The wonderful thing about those ALL, MANY, and EVERYONE words is that Jesus is ready, willing, and able to meet us WHEREVER we are. It doesn’t matter WHAT we are struggling with. It doesn’t matter WHAT is wrong. It doesn’t matter WHAT the issue is. It doesn’t matter HOW LONG we’ve been dealing with it. It doesn’t matter if we are almost DEAD. Truthfully, it doesn’t matter if we DIED. It doesn’t matter if it is SPIRITUAL or PHYSICAL or MENTAL. Many problems? Everyone against you? All the cards stacked against you? Jesus heals that. Jesus takes care of that. Jesus corrects that. All the problems as many times as it takes to everyone who TRUSTS that He will do it.

The Word promises us that if we seek Him, He WILL be found. The Word promises us that if our souls prosper the rest of us will prosper. The Word promises that if we put Him first, He will give us all our needs. The Word promises that the Word itself brings life into our bodies. These (and 7,483 others made in scripture from Yahweh to humanity) are promises. Do you believe that? Do you trust them? Do you have eager expectation in their coming to pass? Where do YOU stand on them?

Jesus is ALWAYS the same (Hebrews 13:8). This was all established before creation was created so it doesn’t have ANYTHING to do with our accomplishments (Ephesians 1:4-6). These are foundational promises of the Grace He has for us which we have because He gave it to us along with His Faith so that we can actually believe and trust in them (Ephesians 2:8-9). They were spoken to humanity. The spoken is how Yahweh operates. He speaks, things manifest. The manifestation is not bound by time or space or location or temperament or anything less. “In the same way, the promise that I make does not return to me, having accomplished nothing. No, it is realized as I desire and is fulfilled as I intend.”” (Isaiah 55:11). Do you BELIEVE? Are you TRUSTING? Where is your FAITH being applied?

Regardless of what ANYONE else says. This is what YAHWEH says. It is OURS for the taking. NO sickness OR disease escapes. Not physical, not spiritual, and not mental. Adonai has released healing and wholeness for ALL of us. Will you take it? Will you trust in it? Will you quash unbelief and instead strengthen your faith for it? What will YOU do? How will YOU speak. Adonai spoke it over and into your life. Will you speak it back? In full faith in trust-based obedience to His Word? Life and death are in our TONGUES (Proverbs 18:21). Which will YOU speak? Which will YOU trust? Which will YOU believe?

Talk it like you faith it. Start today. Don’t stop.

Daily Affirmation Jesus IS Messiah: Psalm 8:5-6

“You made them a little less than the heavenly beings. You crowned mankind with honor and majesty. you appoint them to rule over your creation; you have placed everything under their authority,” Messiah will be humiliated. Messiah will also be exalted. By taking on OUR humiliation, He becomes our Redeemer. In being exalted, He becomes the Living Water and Living Bread that restores our souls. “For he did not put the world to come, about which we are speaking, under the control of angels. Instead someone testified somewhere: “What is man that you think of him or the son of man that you care for him? You made him lower than the angels for a little while. You crowned him with glory and honor. You put all things under his control.” For when he put all things under his control, he left nothing outside of his control. At present we do not yet see all things under his control, but we see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by God’s grace he would experience death on behalf of everyone” (Hebrews 2:5-9). Jesus became human. Jesus sacrificed His life. Jesus was raised to life. Jesus IS Messiah!
