Let Your merciful kindness comfort me, according to Your word to Your servant.
Psalm 119:76
Adonai is SO KIND. I am very thankful every day (or almost every day, because there are days I get wrapped in selfishness and don’t think of it) that Ruach HaKodesh has been given to us to remind us of the goodness of Adonai. He is there to remind us of who we really are. It’s like a mirror where before we had none. Unlike our mirrors, it is a mirror of the spiritual realm. That shows us who we are in that realm while also showing us WHY. It is as if we are fitted within the outline of Jesus, showing us that it is in Jesus, through Jesus, by Jesus, and for Jesus that we get to enjoy all the privileges of Jesus’ covenant with the Father and the New Life it grants.
Ruach HaKodesh is the one who speaks to us all of the Word that we have placed inside our hearts (John 14: 25-26). The Word is FULL of the promises of Adonai. The things He wants to give us, the way He desires to treat us, and He does it all because of His mercy and love for us – His kindness. We would have no way to understand His love outside of Ruach HaKodesh. He LITERALLY speaks our language in plain ways that are easy to comprehend (John 16:25-33). It is because of HIS comforting words explaining Adonai’s love that we GET IT. When we get it, we respond to it. We can’t love Him enough to truly give all that is in our hearts. We love Him because He loves us (1 John 4:19). That is such a comfort when we understand the love of Jesus (Ephesians 3:18-19).
It’s like having a cheerleader who is also a PhD professor in your back pocket. AI has NOTHING on Him. Imagine always having the answer. Imagine always having the answer and knowing how to apply it AND how you got it in the first place? I never managed those three things in math or physics, but often one or two of them. Sadly, without all three my grades were less than spectacular (I ended up fulfilling the math/science credits with accounting and computer science courses). Ruach HaKodesh is right here with us. Right here to make sure we get all three. To understand He loves us, how much He loves us, and why He loves us. To understand we love Him, what that love means, and how to fully express that love through our trust and worship of Him. It’s like we have an inside track on existence. Anyone Ruach HaKodesh speaks to consistently never wonders what the meaning of life is.
May we ALL walk in the wonder and peace of our knowledge of His kindness. His kindness to make promises to us. His kindness to be faithful to all His promises. His kindness when we fail to do our part of the promises. His kindness when we flub it, fail to cherish it, and do things our way, in our strength, and our timing. His kindness in letting us love Him. His kindness in always being here. Always talking to us. Always answering us. There is SUCH comfort in knowing that 100% we NEVER have to deal with a silent God. No one but the Children of Yahweh have that kind of assurance. If THAT isn’t total comfort, I don’t know what is.
Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Matthew 11:28
“Come to me, all of you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” There is a HUGE push – especially in the West – to retire. To work for a period, and then not have to work ever again. There is almost universally a HUGE push to slave for five days and then party on the weekend. Some people live for the weekend. Others dread the beginning of the week. We talk about what we DESERVE and what we look forward to and how if we ever get it we’ll finally be able to breathe. Jesus, however, has a different message. He says don’t wait. He says we’re free from days and times. He says that in Him we will have the completeness of human existence and will experience what He has and what He always meant for US to have (Genesis 2:1-3): rest. To rest in Jesus. To rest because He has done it all for us. We don’t have to work for salvation. Strive for healing. Slave to be connected to a steady, consistent flow of income. We don’t need to be hungry or unsatisfied. When Jesus is our shepherd, we do NOT decrease (Psalm 23:1). When Adonai is our Source, we are NEVER without (Genesis 22:8). What a GOOD God!
Your Daily Confession of Elohim’s Goodness:
I taste and see that Yahweh is good; I am blessed because I take refuge in Him.
