“For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned” (Matthew 12:37, MEV). Our words matter. The Lord creates and upholds by words (Hebrews 1:3). We were made in His image and in His likeness (Genesis 1:26-27). When we use our words to focus on something, that something will become part of our life. Because we are reinforcing it. We are inviting it. I’m not talking about mystically changing your circumstances. That’s an abomination of rebellion against God. I’m talking about choosing to align yourself with God or choosing to align yourself with the darkness of this world. To speak as your expected reality bad things or good things. When we speak good things that are in harmony with the Word, we’re cooperating with God who wants us to have those things. When we speak negative things, we’re cooperating with attacks of the enemy. We’re rejecting God’s life and blessing. We’re agreeing with broken thinking. We’re opening the door to problems God doesn’t want in our lives (Genesis 4:7). Speak life. Speak in harmony with the Word. Don’t waste your time cooperating with anyone else. They don’t deserve your words.
