Fear No Fear

“No Anakites were left in the land of the children of Israel, but they did remain in Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod” (Joshua 11:22). These Anakites were the giants that so terrified the ten spies that they considered stoning Joshua and Caleb when they suggested that the Israelites could enter and possess the land (Numbers 13:27-33). Yet here, forty years later, they enter the land and those giants? They were no big thing. They really weren’t. NOT because of the Israelites. NOT because of their leader. But because GOD was fighting their battles for them (Joshua 1:9) and they were LISTENING TO HIM. They hadn’t talked to Him at Ai and got humiliated. It is when they learned that lesson and began to implement it, that they had success. It is in JESUS that we have the victory, not in ourselves. It is when we humbly submit and OBEY that we see the results we have been promised. It is simple cooperation. The yoke of Jesus is LIGHT. Don’t put it on and try to run off every which way. Don’t pull opposite to where the Father is driving you and where Jesus is pulling. Let HIM do the heavy lifting. Go along with how Holy Spirit is leading you and you will see the results of JESUS’ labour. It is life changing. It really is.
