For all those who are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Romans 8:14
I was once taking down a warehouse with a few employees. Because of the time crunch we were under we used unconventional methods. Those working in that building couldn’t do whatever they wanted. They couldn’t think of a thing and then carry it out. They weren’t operating on whims. They had to bring it to me. We had to discuss it and evaluate the safety of it (for ourselves and the equipment). And only when I signed off on it could we proceed. Why? Because I wasn’t the top rung of the ladder. I was responsible to the head honcho. But I had authority to lead them.
Ruach HaKodesh was given to us to lead us (John 16:13). He has the authority to do that. We NEED a leader. Jacob was the first one who saw the relationship between humanity and Adonai as sheep to a shepherd (Genesis 48:15). David agreed with him wholeheartedly (Psalm 23). Jesus kept it going (John 10:27-28). So did Peter (1 Peter 2:25). Sheep NEED a shepherd. They NEED someone who can think above their level and communicate the blessings of that wisdom to them in terms they understand. Jesus is the shepherd who communicates blessings and wisdom, but Ruach HaKodesh is the receiver that translates it into terms we understand. What do you think the bible IS? Jesus translated by Ruach HaKodesh into terms we (with guidance) mostly understand – I know, I know, we’re still working on it.
This is why we don’t need to bombard heaven with anything EVER. We have access through Jesus and Ruach HaKodesh helps us understand how that works. We pray to a God who lives inside us, not behind locked gates. We worship a God who lets us into the throne room to play at His feet and in His lap. We have TOTAL access through Jesus’ sacrifice for us alongside Jesus’ resurrection life that we are baptized into (2 Corinthians 5:21). Ruach HaKodesh is the one leading us into and through that. Because we NEED a leader so we don’t get it wrong or go astray somehow – always a possibility with human beings.
We don’t need to wait until we’ve fasted twenty days (although there us value to us to subdue the flesh). We don’t have to put out a fleece (unless our ears are so stopped up we can’t hear). We can communicate directly with One who has AUTHORITY to lead us. To guide our feet. He can be TRUSTED. He is FAITHFUL. And He is NEVER EVER anywhere else but inside us – joined at the spirit, made one in Messiah Jesus our Lord (Galatians 3:27-28).
Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: 1 Corinthians 8:6
“yet to us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we are for him, and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we are through him.” Do you know what an epoch is? A division of time that is a subdivision of a period and is itself subdivided into ages, corresponding to a series within a lifetime. The beginning of a distinctive period in the history of someone. It is not a continual thing. When one epoch ends, all that were the distinctive characteristics of that epoch end. New characteristics take their place. The old is completely gone. The new is completely there. You can visibly see where one begins and other ends, often with very abrupt and distinct borders. BAM, new thing starting. We have been put THROUGH Jesus. BAM, new thing started. The OLD epoch is gone. It was characterised by sickness, lack, broken thinking, inability not to sin, unproductiveness, unfruitfulness (in every arena), shame, and no relationship with Adonai. The NEW epoch began when you got saved. It IS characterised by health, abundance, right thinking, ability to NOT sin (it’s a choice now), productiveness, fruitfulness (in all areas), acknowledgment, and intimate relationship with Adonai (if we humbly submit to it – it’s a choice now). Isn’t that wondrous? We don’t have to abide by ANY of the old epoch’s rules and characteristics. We can abide in Jesus’ rules and characteristics! New creatures! HIS creatures! Abiding in Him, led by Him, seeking Him, corrected by Him, and resting all that we are in Jesus’ peaceful Grace and Mercy. What a GOOD God!

I taste and see that Yahweh is good; I am blessed because I take refuge in Him.
