For those who are living according to the flesh are intent on the things of the flesh, but those who are living according to the Spirit are intent on the things of the Spirit.
Romans 8:5
A mindset is a collection of beliefs that give shape to how we make sense of what is around us – our individual selves and the world. It is therefore the main thing that influences how we think, behave, and feel about any given situation. This mindset informs what we believe about ourselves which impacts what success or failure we have. If we grasp the fullness of this, it will change our lives. Because we will not be looking at what WE see, thinking what WE think, and feeling what WE feel. Instead, we will be looking at what HE sees, thinking what HE thinks, and feeling what HE feels. Because we have access to the mind of Messiah (1 Corinthians 2:16), but we have it in our SPIRIT – which means we need Ruach HaKodesh to make the connection.
It’s not some mystical mumbo jumbo. It’s learning the Way in which our minds are retrained to HIS point of view or mindset (Romans 12:2). Now this is going to sound simplistic, but the Word has ALL the Mind of Messiah in it. You see, the Word is the will of the Father. And Messiah Jesus ONLY did what His Father wanted, only SAID what His Father told Him to say, and only agreed with the will of the Father. They were of ONE MIND (John 10:30). WE – through our baptism INTO Jesus – can be as Jesus is in this world (1 John 4:17). This is not automatic. If it was we would never choose to sin. We would always have perfect decisions. I think without too much investigation we would ALL agree this isn’t true. We have all sinned and we all do choose to sin. It is why we need Jesus. This is why Ruach HaKodesh reminds us of who we are spiritually – we keep forgetting to obey Adonai. This is one of those simple, not easy situations.
So one of the things Ruach HaKodesh has been given authority to do is to BE our Jesus mindset. But HOW He has the authority to do it is by bringing into our mind JESUS’ mind. Which is the Word. Which IS Jesus (John 1:14). However, if we only have a few verses and some bible stories inside our hearts, that will be all that can be brought up to our remembrance. According to Caltech researchers we think at 10 bits per second. But that’s thoughts, not neural signals that generate the calculations and integrations between parts of the brain that we turn INTO neural signals which become thoughts. If we have the Word in our hearts (through reading, hearing, study, and meditation), Ruach HaKodesh can bring up the Word into that super fast processing so the WORD becomes part of our input. The more Word in us, the more it appears in that signal wave. The more Word is being brought up the more our spirit recognises it, puts emphasis on it, and we start seeing change.
We start making decisions based on what we know Adonai thinks about something. Or what He said about something. Or a command He gave. We’ll KNOW it. And we’ll WANT to be in accordance with it, because we love Him. We are TRYING to be more like Him, right? And THAT is what becomes our mindset. Every day, a little more like Him through the restoration of our mindset into the mindset humanity was originally given: His.
Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Proverbs 10:22
“The blessing of Yahweh makes one rich, and he does not increase sorrow with it.” Growth can be stretchy. Stretching isn’t comfortable. Increase can be negative. And it can come with compromises and thorns. It can be unpleasant. There are more joyful poor people than rich people. Some of them can be downright cruel. They’ve learned a system of fights and must-keep-mine that warps them. Adonai doesn’t give that way. No hidden fineprint. No cuts or thorns. It doesn’t hurt. It doesn’t warp. It is real and TRUE blessing. It’s CLEAN. Big or small, it is CLEAN. And He never gives it when you can’t handle it (1 Corinthians 10:13; Deuteronomy 20:4). That is true riches. Something you can ENJOY. Something that doesn’t DIMINISH you. Something that is REAL. That is the Blessing of Adonai our Elohim. What a GOOD God!
Your Daily Confession of Elohim’s Goodness:
I taste and see that Yahweh is good; I am blessed because I take refuge in Him.
