Fear No Fear

And your ears shall hear a word from behind you, saying, “this is the way; walk in it,” when you go to your right and when you go to your left.

What a GREAT promise. Our goal as human beings is to be in the centre of His will. Not living according to what we feel (which is information about the circumstances we’re standing in), but according to what He says. Yahweh is the God of More Than Enough and if we acknowledge that mindset, embracing it fully, we will always seek to be in the centre of His will. Trouble with us is that we move around a lot. We get these bright ideas or we respond to what we see because ‘we can handle it’. It’s not that the things we come up with are inherently bad, but are they AWESOME ideas or ADONAI ideas?

Adonai hates the oppression of widows, orphans, and strangers in your territory (Exodus 22:21-24); rebellion (willing disobedience as well as witchcraft (1 Samuel 15:23) and idolatry (which is covetousness, Exodus 33:8-12; Colossians 3:5); abandoning and forsaking Him (Judges 2:12; 3:7); sin (Isaiah 59:2; Romans 12:9; Psalm 38:1-5, 101:3) and wickedness (willful sin, Psalm 5:5; 6:8; 11:5). You know what else He hates? “There are six things Yahweh hates, and seven things are abominations of his soul: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a devising heart, plans of deception, feet that hurry to run to evil,a false witness who breathes lies and sends out discord between brothers” (Proverbs 6:16-19). That isn’t a lot, you know? But it covers so much ground. We like to split hairs and justifications. Adonai doesn’t. A millimeter is the same as a mile when it comes to sin. ANY sin, mental or physical, is sin (1 John 1:8-10). Period. How do we know when we’ve stepped wrong, missed it, or are dabbling with fire while wearing paper clothes? Ruach HaKodesh.

Ruach HaKodesh brings to our minds the Word that lights the Way (Psalm 119:105). He is with us. He is the voice that speaks correction when we step off to the right or left. If we’ll heed Him, we will have the opportunity to come back into alignment with Adonai’s will – which ALWAYS saves us trouble (Psalm 38:4-5). It is NEVER about what we FEEL. It is about what is objectively RIGHT and the will of Adonai. Not our will, His. When we rest in Jesus, using the guidance of Ruach HaKodesh to make sure we aren’t wavering or wandering, then we STAY in the centre of His will. We stay centred on Adonai. Which is one of the most important things we can do to make sure we’re achieving all He has set for us to achieve (2 Timothy 4:6-8).

Keep the Word going into you so that your heart is full of it. Use it to keep your ears clean and clear. Listen to Ruach HaKodesh’s voice and obey (John 10:27-28). Stay where He says to stay no matter what you see and no matter what you hear. He has the superior vantage point. Trust Him. He will NEVER lead you false (Psalm 23). Stay on His path. It is the Way that brings abundant life.

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Genesis 14:22-23

“And Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have raised my hand to Yahweh, God Most High, Maker of heaven and earth, that neither a thread nor a thong of a sandal would I take from all that belongs to you, that you might not say, ‘I made Abram rich.’” Your employer or your clients do not make you rich. Neither does the government. You do NOT need their money OR their benefits. Adonai Elohim is your Source. That doesn’t mean that those things are bad or not useful. But you don’t need them. If you can’t get a charitable donation receipt it won’t make a difference to your finances IF that donation is a gift to Adonai or an act of obedience to something Adonai told you. He will make sure you’re covered because He covers ALL your needs (2 Corinthians 9:8). If you look to your own efforts and your own wheelings and dealings for your security in life, you are tying limbs behind your back. Only Adonai can truly sustain you (Psalm 37). Only Adonai knows what is coming and can both prepare you AND store up what you need. He can even use ANIMALS to deliver it and bypass the entire world postal system (1 Kings 17:2-16). He will NOT leave you destitute or unable to work so He can bless your hands beyond what you can imagine (Deuteronomy 28:12). He does it all and nothing that humans or spirits can come up with to try and limit or take away what He has given will come to anything. He HAS us ALL the time. What a GOOD God!
