Fear No Fear

“He said, “If you diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will not afflict you with any of the diseases with which I have afflicted the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”” (Exodus 15:26, MEV). I have heard a LOT about the horrors of the staffing cuts that the current administration in the United States are doing. I read a thinkpiece recently bemoaning all the deaths that are coming. About how reducing the redundancy and bloated bureaucracy will do nothing but make it harder for people and as a result they won’t get the life-giving services they need and they’ll die by the thousands. I want to know where the church is. Not on the political side, the medical industry side, or the bureaucratic side. I want to know why we are not standing up and proclaiming that there is NO REASON to fear because our God is MORE THAN ENOUGH! Come to our church and see what HE can do! God LOVES every human being (John 3:16-18). He doesn’t want ANY of them to perish (2 Peter 3:9) – not salvation-wise, as we think of it, and not physically here on Earth. We are supposed to be a LIGHT, right? “and if you give yourself to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall rise in obscurity, and your darkness shall become as the noonday” (Isaiah 58:10, MEV). Why are we operating in obscurity when we can be a beacon to show them our hope and the hope of all humanity? Health issues? Come to the One who released healing for ALL. Many unsaved people were healed by Jesus. He doesn’t care if you’re saved, immoral, or a church goer. He will heal EVERYONE just to show us and them that the REST of what He promises is also true and reliable. Healing is the proof for physical eyes that the spiritual is also true. When are we going to start believing Him so that we CAN make a difference? People fearful of sickness and death? Let’s bring them His healing! Let’s do what we were commanded and heal the sick. Peter and John did it. Paul did it. And they were IMPERFECT men, just as bad as WE are! They did it because it is JESUS who released healing, the FATHER who wills it to happen, and HOLY SPIRIT who is the conduit through which it flows. No restrictions. No but if onlys. Healing can be the light that brings in a whole new generation of people to understand that God is real, God loves, and God’s Word can be trusted! God is the God of HEALING! Let’s not hold Him back. Let’s cooperate and help Him move! He loves us all TOO MUCH to let sickness and fear stand unchallenged! Amen!
