Fear No Fear

And Yahweh passed over before him, and he proclaimed, “Yahweh, Yahweh, God, who is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding with loyal love and faithfulness, keeping loyal love to the thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and he does not leave utterly unpunished, punishing the guilt of fathers on sons and on sons of sons on third and fourth generations.”

Exodus 34:6-7

These attributes of Adonai are not simply character, but the foundation of Creation in a VERY real way. We know that matter is made of energy (E=mc2). The subatomic particles that make up our world – the ‘substance’ we touch and feel – are disturbance-events in energy fields. Everything that is are virtual particles that appear ‘real’ to us and then vanish. Thoughts being thought over and over again. We see them as real, solid, and THERE. They are not. They are continually being made and remade over and over again at a level we can barely grasp. You look like you, but you are totally different than you were a nanosecond ago. This is reality as we know it.

“Although God spoke long ago in many parts and in many ways to the fathers by the prophets, in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the world, who is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, sustaining all things by the word of power. When he had made purification for sins through him, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become by so much better than the angels, by as much as he has inherited a more excellent name than theirs” (Hebrews 1:1-4). Sustaining all things by the word of power. That’s the thoughts of the Father expressed through the WORD that IS Jesus (John 1:1, 14). Nanosecond by nanosecond Jesus is speaking out existence in the sense that the echoes of what was SAID during Creation (Genesis 1) are rippling around, making us and remaking us moment to moment. If that WORD OF POWER cannot be trusted, all things fall apart. There are no shadows in Adonai (James 1:17). He is TOTALLY trustworthy and MUST BE for His Word to BE righteous power. This is a foundational principle of Creation. All of everything anywhere is in Him, in the WORD, upheld consciously and on purpose. “For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory for eternity! Amen” (Romans 11:36).

Jesus is upholding us through Himself, the Word. He is upholding us by His will which is also the will of the Father. So who I am and what I can be is determined by HIS energy, not mine. I am what I AM says I am. Why is it so hard for us to see that? “For now we see through a mirror indirectly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know completely, just as I have also been completely known” (1 Corinthians 13:12). Sin taints the glass between us and the Father. We CANNOT see what we truly are. Our SPIRIT can, but our soul is stuck in this body that has limited sight. Ruach HaKodesh is NOT bound by our bodies or our souls. Ruach HaKodesh can see the other side of the glass. Ruach HaKodesh can see the TRUE reflection. We MUST listen to Him about who we are so that we can form the image in our minds. We have been given TREMENDOUS imaginative powers, but we don’t know what to imagine. We do not know what to SEE. He shows us in His Word, but He also uses Ruach HaKodesh to tell us. Does He tell us secrets? No. He testifies to the faithfulness and truthfulness of the Word. Without His confirmation, we would not get it. We would not be able to focus our imagination, our souls, on the unseen (2 Corinthians 4:18). Jesus sacrifice cleared the mud of our personal sin off the mirror, but the tint in fallen Creation remains. We NEED Him to help us see.

The I AM is the foundation of all things. He IS the energy that we are made of. HIS image of us is the true image. We can become what HE says we can become, because HE is the substance from which all things are. Because He is the Great Elohim, The Living One (Revelation 1:18), Yahweh Almighty, we have life. And we have abundant life according to the prosperousness of our SPIRITS which is how our souls SEE what HE says is reality. Life inside this glass box is not reality. We are trapped in the tinted fallen Creation. But redemption is coming and the tint in the glass will be done away with. We will see clearly. We will walk in the FULLNESS of His ideas of who we are. In the meantime, we have Ruach HaKodesh to help us to walk in Jesus Way. To manifest His character (Galatians 5:22-23) so that the world around us can get a peak through our tinted, but not dirty, glass.

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Revelation 1:17-18

“And when I saw him, I fell at his feet like a dead person, and he placed his right hand on me, saying, “Do not be afraid! I am the first and the last, and the one who lives, and I was dead, and behold, I am living forever and ever, and I hold the keys of death and of Hades.” When Adonai shows up, He always removes fear. His peace dispels fear. His love banishes it. It’s hard to take real righteousness because our physical stuff is made up of what rejected it. The flesh. Selfish thinking. I am so grateful for what Adonai has done for us. Willing to show up. Willing to talk to us. Willing to guide us. Willing to be with us. Not ‘needing’ us as we think of need, but WANTING us because He loves us too much to live without us. He makes the Way and removes the fear that prevents our feet to walk the Way. He makes the path and enables us to walk the path. And then stays with us ON the path, every step of the Way! What a GOOD God!
