“O my strength, I will wait on You; for God is my refuge. The God of lovingkindness will go before me; God will cause me to look in triumph on my enemies” (Psalm 59:9-10, MEV). I don’t have to figure it all out. I don’t have to make it happen. I do have to be ready and willing to work, but I don’t have to make the work appear. The jobs already exist. The security already exists. The Blessing already exists. If I’m willing to obey – by working, by waiting, by speaking, or writing – I do NOT have to spend ANY energy on the what, the how, or the why. I get to rely on, and trust in Jesus. HE’LL do those. I get to focus on WHEN and WHERE. That’s it. I’m under HIS yoke, not mine. He’s doing the hard work. If this is how I operate, then I do NOT get upset when things seem yo ‘go wrong’. If I don’t feel the where, I can’t go. If I don’t feel the when, I can’t go. If He isn’t going, I’m not going. If He isn’t staying, I’m not staying. We are JOINED together. ONE. And if we live this way, we will NEVER know a moment of what the world calls stress or anxiety. We will be at peace, even if there’s a struggle. We will be at peace, even if there is a panic. We will be at peace, even if a disaster happens. Because we are safe in the Father’s arms when we stay in His lap. We’re covered. Protected. We might not even notice most of what the world is rocked by. And our perspective will be VERY different. We’ll be praising, not lamenting. Joyful, not fearful. Full of trust, and not despair. We may not understand, we might not see the ending, but brothers and sisters, we KNOW that we KNOW that we KNOW that God has us. Everything is GOING to not only be all right, but be VERY GOOD. We love Him, we seek Him, we depend on Him. What can be done to us? Nothing!
