Fear No Fear

“Yet to all who received Him, He gave the power to become sons of God, to those who believed in His name” (John 1:12, MEV). I am nothing special of myself. Neither are you. And none of us were anything special when God decided to die for us. In fact, we were still His enemies (Romans 5:10). We were NOT worthy of Him. We were worthy ONLY of death (Romans 6:23). He didn’t give us that. He gave us the chance to change (John 3:17-18). Everyone who accepts Jesus as their Lord and believes that in their heart become something extraordinary: worthy. Worthy to be before the Throne (Hebrews 4:16). Worthy to be written in His book (Revelation 13:8). Worthy to be sons and daughters of Yahweh (today’s verse). This is what Jesus did for us. We are worthy because HE is worthy (Revelation 5:12; Philippians 2:9-11). Jesus’ name should be on our lips in praise as often as we can manage. It is our right to worship the one who gave us our worthiness and preserves it in Himself (Hebrews 13:15). He made us worthy and we should thank Him for it.
