Therefore if you, although you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father from heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”
Luke 11:13
You can refuse to accept Him, but you cannot deny that Ruach HaKodesh is yours by right, by the will of the Father, and backed up by the Word of the Almighty Yahweh Himself. “in whom also we were chosen, having been predestined according to the purpose of the One who works all things according to the counsel of his will, that we who hoped beforehand in Christ should be for the praise of his glory, in whom also you, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also when you believed you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the down payment of our inheritance, until the redemption of the possession, to the praise of his glory” (Ephesians 1:11-14). The Spirit of Truth is our inheritance.
The Parable of the Prodigal shows us a young man, the youngest son, who demands his inheritance early and then squanders it. Yet the prodigal father still loves, accepts, and gives to him generously what he did not deserve (Luke 15:11-32). Likewise, we are not dealt with by the Father on our own merit, but Jesus’ merit. Jesus came and took the punishment for sin. He did that so that WE could be like HE. We swapped places. Since it was finished (John 19:30), and since Jesus released to us His Spirit (John 20:22), we are not getting our inheritance early, but have access to our inheritance now – the proper time (Galatians 4:4). We have been given the gift of walking in what HE purchased for us. There is no reason to hold back. There is no reason to wait until we reach Heaven. We can start living out eternity now. We CAN wait, but we have NO REASON to wait.
“And this is the confidence that we have before him: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us” (1 John 5:14). “And whatever you ask in my name, I will do this, in order that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it” (John 14:13-17). The Father isn’t keeping things from us. Jesus made the Way and opened the door. If they’re willing to give us things according to His Will and things that glorify the Father, how much more then do we have access to what He has promised us? Ruach HaKodesh isn’t something we have to ASK for. Ruach HaKodesh is something we ACCEPT. He is payment made because Jesus ascended (John 16:7; Acts 1:8). Jesus released Him. We have access. We don’t need to ask, we need to accept. We have the right to accept because He IS our inheritance. Who doesn’t want what’s theirs by right? Who doesn’t want what’s coming to them? Who doesn’t want what has been given? I don’t know anyone who turns down their inheritance. I know some that take it and leave it in storage, but not outright reject it.
It is our CHOICE whether or not to accept Ruach HaKodesh. We can leave Him dwelling in us, but never asking Him out of His room. Never interacting with Him. Giving Him meals in His room and never asking Him to the table. Pretending He isn’t living with us. We can do that. We can ALSO talk with Him, interact with Him, utilize all that He has that we were meant to have. We can walk in the fullness of the glory that has not only been revealed to us but given to us to walk in. We don’t need to block the light with the umbrella of religious thinking. We don’t need to avoid the rain of the Blessing with nope-gotta-weight wet wear. We CAN, but who would WANT to? Most people that deny Ruach HaKodesh and the work of His hands are terrified of offending Adonai. Of stepping outside His will and doing something that isn’t from Him. Yet, that’s the BEAUTY of Ruach HaKodesh. He IS the great corrector. He will ALWAYS tell us when we are going astray – we just need to listen.
Ruach HaKodesh has been given to every believer. We have Him. He is the fullness of Adonai (Colossians 2:9-10) We have the right to accept His gifts. We have the right to accept His Fruit. We have the right to accept His correction, teaching, and guidance. We have the right to walk in the fullness of everything Adonai has for us – spiritually first, so that we can handle all that comes after. This is our right and inheritance (John 1:16). Don’t avoid it. Accept it. Adonai doesn’t GIVE bad gifts. We can test everything against the Word and find that it is all in accordance with the Word – right from the beginning. Accept your inheritance. Don’t avoid it. Unbox it. Enjoy fellowship. He’ll steer you right if you listen. Obey Him and enjoy all that He has. It’s a GOOD thing.
Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Hebrews 1:1-2
“Although God spoke long ago in many parts and in many ways to the fathers by the prophets, in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the world” When you look at religions, you find a lot of revelation by ‘angels’. There are several that claim to be along the same line as the Word, but they are a later revelation. Something beyond Jesus. Other than the relationship we can personally have with Adonai, the biggest single thing that marks the Word as both the truth and the ONLY truth is this: it came from the Son. Jesus IS the Word, and the Word IS Jesus. This is direct revelation from Adonai. Why would He go down a rung on the ladder and give a more advanced revelation from a lesser being? Jesus wasn’t a prophet, He was a Son – proven through hundreds of scriptures throughout the Word. Jesus wasn’t just a man, but I AM made flesh – proven through hundreds of scriptures throughout the Word. He is the HIGHEST and LAST stop on the revelatory ladder. Nothing after Jesus that was greater than Jesus would come from an angel (Galatians 1:8). It would have to come from the Father, except the Father only interacts with us through Jesus. There is GREAT assurance. There is GREAT comfort. There is an extremely stable platform on which we can stand sure, when we realise that Jesus is THE greatest revelation of Adonai that is possible to us here on this Earth. Adonai didn’t hold back. He didn’t tell us one thing, and then tell us something different, and then change His mind again. We got consistency, we got the final word, we got it direct from the throne through the Son. He hid NOTHING from us. We have the assurance of Jesus Himself, and that shows us we have THE Truth. What a GOOD God!
