Fear No Fear

“Therefore pray in this manner: Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name” (Matthew 6:9, MEV). Which one? Hallowed be Your name, but WHICH name? El Shaddai (Lord God Almighty), El Elyon (The Most High God), Adonai (Lord, Master), Yahweh (Lord, Jehovah), Jehovah Nissi (The Lord My Banner), Jehovah-Raah (The Lord My Shepherd), Jehovah Rapha (The Lord That Heals), Jehovah Shammah (The Lord Is There), Jehovah Tsidkenu (The Lord Our Righteousness), Jehovah Mekoddishkem (The Lord Who Sanctifies You), El Olam (The Everlasting God), Elohim (God), Qanna (Jealous), Jehovah Jireh (The Lord Will Provide), Jehovah Shalom (The Lord Is Peace), or Jehovah Sabaoth (The Lord of Hosts)? The truth is that God is too big for the human mind to grasp. A man of God once said that God deals with us dimensionally. Since we cannot grasp ALL of Him, He deals with us one facet at a time. If we know Him as the Provider (Jehovah Jireh), we will be provided for but unhealed. If we know Him as the healer (Jehovah Rapha), we might struggle with anxiety even as we walk in health. If we know Him as the giver of Peace (Jehovah Shalom), we won’t be anxious or depressed. He is MORE THAN ENOUGH because His dimensions don’t end. He has unlimited facets to show us. If you have a need or a desire, you need to learn which name covers that dimension of God. Learn about it and learn about Him as that. Don’t ignore the dimensions you already know. Add to them. Add to them the aspect of God that you need to know so that you can trust Him in it. So you can trust He will provide. Trust He will give/bring peace. Trust He wants you well. Trust that He sanctifies you. Trust He is your master. Trust He brings with Him the Hosts of Heaven to keep us safe. Whatever we need, whatever we’re struggling with, there is a dimension of God that covers it. The more we know Him, the more we will walk in the TRUTH of Who He Is. His character covers everything and we need to know what piece of it covers where we are. Pick up the Word and get to know the God who is with you right where you are. Learn His Name and call on it (John 14:14). Get some belief and trust stirred up about His nature, name, and will. Pray it. That’s how we receive. By getting to KNOW Him (Ephesians 3:20). Figure out what dimension is talking to you today. Let Him shine through those facets as only HE can.
