“Watch over my life, and deliver me! Let me not suffer shame, for I seek refuge in You. Truth and integrity will preserve me while I wait for You” (Psalm 25:20-21, MEV). They say the nice guy finishes last, and it may or may not be true. But the godly guy NEVER finishes last. The godly man or woman will ALWAYS be first because that is where God puts them. They may seem to be in bad circumstances, but look how their needs always get met – whether at the last minute or not. They’re still met. Look how they always seem to know the move to make, the step to take, the direction that leads toward life and success and not despair and ruin. When we seek God first and put Him foremost, the natural result is that our lives are watched over. Every area. The Kingdom works on demand and supply. When we choose to humbly submit to the Lord, our supply is provided. God is demanding obedience – demand in the sense of requesting a specific thing and not happy with any other thing, not demand as in dominate or force. It is right and good that He does. He IS GOD. There is NONE like Him. He is Righteous and Holy. We SHOULD do what He asks. Every time. Because we love Him, we obey. When we obey? We are supplied. When we disobey, we’re like the shameful sinners who are out for themselves. When we seek refuge in God and do what He asks? Our truth and integrity are markers EVERYONE can see that we are for Him. We wait, preserved in our obedience and honesty, until God proves to EVERYONE we had NOTHING to be ashamed of because here is the supply for ALL our needs – personal and for the task we’re called to accomplish. God’s promises are FAITHFUL, and He ALWAYS delivers. We can take solace and rest in His love for us. He will ALWAYS take care of His obedient children!
