Now the works of the flesh are revealed, which are these: adultery, sexual immorality, impurity, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousy, rage, selfishness, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you, as I previously warned you, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19-21
Adonai is all about clarity. “The precepts of Yahweh are right, making the heart rejoice. The command of Yahweh is pure, enlightening the eyes” (Psalm 19:8). They can hardly enlighten us if they are confusing. “For just as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and they do not return there except they have watered the earth thoroughly and cause it to bring forth and sprout, and give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall be my word that goes out from my mouth. It shall not return to me without success, but shall accomplish what I desire and be successful in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:10-11). He has a purpose for His word. Since HE is orderly, so is His word (1 Corinthians 14:33). It may be impossible to walk in His Way without Jesus, but the message of the Gospel is simple, not complex. So when Adonai says something, we should take Him at His word. We should BELIEVE what He says. Even if we ourselves in our humanness have a different opinion – we’re wrong. Whatever it is, we’re wrong. Always realise that He is trustworthy and right.
Adonai made it very clear right from the beginning what we should avoid. We as His creation have an innate knowledge about what is right and good from His point of view. We know this because WE – without ANY societal or familial help – attach shame to these things. The more we are aware of the truth, the more shame we feel – until we deal with it through Jesus. That’s why we KNOW that the world KNOWS that these things are wrong: they’re yelling WAY to much to not have been hit with their OWN shame. Not what we have tried to put on them, but the shame they themselves feel and have always felt. Their lives are a constant series of acts, thoughts, and words meant to harden and desensitize their hearts so that they no longer have to feel the shame that their own souls are feeling because of how far out from the will of Adonai they are operating. It is not OUR fault they feel shame. The shame is inherent in the act and every single human being – male or female – that participates in those acts will feel that shame. It is OBJECTIVE shame, not subjective. NOTHING will remove it but the blood of Jesus.
This is the ONE SIN that will send you to hell. This is the ONE SIN that Ruach HaKodesh convicts the world of: not trusting in Jesus’ finished work. Of not accepting the salvation that He provided for us all (John 16:8). It’s the only thing that can take away their shame. Jesus destroyed the evil altar of shame. “I gave my back to those who struck me, and my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard; I did not hide my face from insults and spittle” (Isaiah 50:6). There are two instances of the face beating of Jesus. The tearing of beards was a punishment sometimes inflicted by Jews because it was shameful. Some people have said that the Roman soldiers — clean shaven themselves — could have enjoyed mocking a condemned Jew in this way. Regardless of who did it, the word in Isaiah means to have the face peeled or the beard plucked out. Jesus removed our shame when his own symbol of honour and dignity was torn out by the bloody roots. We can live WITHOUT shame, when we have Jesus as Lord over our WHOLE LIVES.
Every time we go to do something that will cause us to feel shame, Ruach HaKodesh is there to repeat to us the promise we have IN JESUS (John 15:5) not to have to feel shame anymore. Ruach HaKodesh is there to warn us of those things that bring shame in and of themselves – because of their ungodliness. Shame is a MAJOR player in the world, but it doesn’t have to be anything but a footnote. We don’t need to keep struggling. To be immoral and then juggle all the confusion and nonsense that comes up when we are living against Adonai’s natural order. You see people invested in the world complaining about it all the time. They blame all SORTS of things and really want to believe they are the cause of the confusion and shame, but the truth is that it is their own souls who are crying out against their choices. If you EVER find yourself considering something and feel that itch on the inside of your skull which is shame, go straight to Ruach HaKodesh and let Him lead you back to the centre of Adonai’s will.
We were not meant to feel shame. We were not meant to emote shame. It was never meant to be part of our lives. It is NOT natural. It is NOT normal. It is NOT necessary. We can live lives of FREEDOM. We can live lives of PEACE. We can be holders of a clear conscience because we know who we are in Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21) and we HOLD to that (1 John 1:9). We let Ruach HaKodesh guide us. Correct us. Teach us. And lead us (Psalm 23). We need to feel no shame and the Word is VERY clear about what we can avoid so that we never, EVER do. He’s not keeping us from fun, He’s protecting us in every way. He is a GOOD God and a GOOD Father and a GOOD Bridegroom. He is so VERY good to us.
Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Luke 12:33-34
“Sell your possessions and give alms. Provide yourselves purses that do not grow old, an unfailing treasure in the heavens, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Do not let yourself be fooled into believing this verse means Adonai doesn’t want you to have success and things. More importantly, don’t let anyone tell you that that success and those things can be in Adonai’s place. NOTHING is to be where He is meant to be. Adonai should be front and centre in our lives. First place. What we think of as we wake, what we think of as we go to sleep, and a LOT of what we think of in the in-between times. If we let things take a hold of our hearts, we’ll be slaved to them and not free. Adonai MUST be first. And if He is, there is nothing that is withheld from us (3 John 2). Adonai WANTS us Blessed, but He wants our hearts more. Adonai wants us to be able to HANDLE the Blessing (James 4:3). If something – anything – is more important to you than Adonai, or if something is hindering your walk with Him, get RID of it. Immediately. Don’t wait. Seek HIM FIRST, and all the rest will follow because it will never be as important to you as He is. This is a CONSTANT correction of our hearts and thoughts that we’re talking about here. Never let a day go by without examining your thoughts to see what you really think and what you really are holding important. Put Him first and you will NEVER regret it. He takes SUCH good care of His children. He loves us SO MUCH. What a GOOD God!

I taste and see that Yahweh is good; I am blessed because I take refuge in Him.
