Fear No Fear

“through whom we also have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and so we rejoice in hope of the glory of God” (Romans 5:2, MEV). In the Old Covenant, the one between God and humanity, all God’s promises are conditional on obedience. It is a really simple exchange. If you obey, you get all things in Me. Simple. In the New Covenant, between Jesus and the Father, all God’s promises are fulfilled in Jesus who perfectly obeyed. When WE enter into that covenant, through Jesus, we get all things because God’s promises are conditional on JESUS’ obedience. Not ours. We only have access to them through Jesus (John 15:5). It is not our PERFORMANCE, but our TRUST IN JESUS that determines how much we engage and receive. We are PARDONED, and FREE from ALL that sin is attached to. Sickness, shame, depression, anxiety, lack, disease, ungodly behaviour, addiction, all of it. We are FREE in Jesus. By Grace, not through our own merits, we can grab a hold of EVERY BLESSING in Jesus because we are resurrected to life IN Jesus, we submit ourselves TO Jesus, and we love Him and therefore OBEY Him. This is the foundation of godly living and the process by which we overcome everything. In, through, and by Jesus whom we are rooted in. Trees by rivers who are connected by their roots to the system of nutrients available in that spot grow up to three times faster and can be much taller than the surrounding forests. We are planted by the River of Life and He provides our nutrients. Grow in Him and the sky is the limit to where we can shine for His Glory – always for HIS glory, not ours.
