Healing Wings “Good Root, Good Fruit”

(All scripture from the NET, netbible.org, all rights reserved)

In the same way, every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.
Matthew 7:17 (emphasis added)

In an orchard or field, you are surrounded by fruit. As far as the property goes, you see fruit. Usually all the same kind of fruit. There will be differences though. Some will have blossomed sooner than others. There will be difference in size and colour. Some will be excellent. Some will not. Some will even be rotting on the ground. But they will all the the type of fruit expected from the species of tree, vine, or bush that they are growing on. There will be no surprises there.

We are given an opportunity by Adonai. He lets us sow and reap. In every area of our lives, this basic system is in place. ““While the earth continues to exist, planting time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night will not cease” (Genesis 8:22). It is our opportunity to invest in the Kingdom of God and reap the benefit of that association. We are given the seed of trust and Adonai asks us to sow it into His works and His words. If we do, there is no end to the harvest that we will participate in. This is His promise. This is spiritual farming. How successful we are being will be shown by our harvest. What fruit are we getting? If we are unhappy with the fruit we are seeing in our lives, we need to be planting different seed.

Now this works on EVERY level, but we’re primarily talking spiritually here. The important thing – no matter what realm or thing you’re sowing for – is that only Adonai knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:9-10). He is the ONLY one who know EXACTLY what will grow out of any particular seed. He knows what is needed. Remember, Adonai is not some sugar daddy in the sky that we shakedown for what we want by our seed. We are to let the Word work on us to renew our minds to HIS things, HIS ideas, HIS morals, and HIS goals. “So, since Christ suffered in the flesh, you also arm yourselves with the same attitude because the one who has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin, in that he spends the rest of his time on earth concerned about the will of God and not human desires” (1 Peter 4:1-2). We need to be asking Him what seed we need to show to grow the plant HE wants grown so that we can enjoy the fruit that HE wants us to have. When we do this right, we will be getting what we want because we will have made the shift to want what Adonai wants (1 John 5:14-15).

Healing is something that is our right only because it is part of Adonai’s nature. When we are aligned to His ways, His ways operate in our life. We will start seeing that fruit functioning in and around us. Love. Peace. Patience. Joy. Goodness. Kindness. Gentleness. Self-control. Faithfulness. Prosperity (spiritual first, then natural – starting with being satisfied with what we have). Giving. Wisdom. Desire to teach. Desire to feed. Desire to help. Encouragement. These are aspects of Elohim’s nature. We will see them active in us and around us when we are connected to Him, letting Him correct and guide our steps, and truly trusting Him.

Betterup.com says that when we are discussing trust there are three things that we are discussing. First, being able to have a sense of security and confidence when dealing with someone. Second, having the ability to predict that someone will act in specific ways and be dependable. Third, earning a level of credibility that has built up over time. This is what ‘faith’ is. It is trust in Adonai. That means that we have a sense of security and confidence about our relationship with Adonai and our lives (Psalm 27:3). That means that we can predict the way Adonai will act and can depend on that – like knowing Adonai will bring good, not bad (James 1:17; James 1:13-16). And finally it means that Adonai has a level of credibility that has built up over time because Adonai is and has been the same consistently since before Creation until now (Hebrews 13:8).

This is trust. We build that trust by hearing the Word because it enables Adonai to reprogram our minds from the things of the world to the things of His kingdom. When we truly trust, we are unable to not act. We have to. We have to DO something. Adonai is not static or stagnant (Genesis 1:2). Neither are those who believe and truly trust in Him. You can’t trust Him in something and not want to lean on Him. Not want to prove it true (Romans 3:4). When we have built up a good track record with our children and then tell them something will happen, they will expect it to happen. It will be a done deal. When it will happen might shift, but they know for sure that it will eventually happen because they TRUST us.

For us, it is like a parent (Adonai) who tells their child (us) that they can have a bicycle. Anytime we want it, it’s ours. All we have to do is say the word and it will be bought for us. Maybe we don’t believe it. Maybe we think bicycles are stupid. Eventually though, more and more of our friends have bicycles and we are being left in the dust. So eventually, we ask. And the bicycle gets bought for us just like our parent said it would. Healing is the same way. The Word will show us healing is ours by Jesus’ stripes, wounds, and bruises. Sickness was broken. We are healthy and we don’t have to be sick. If we doubt that this is possible, all we need to do is look at the fruit in our lives. We will see the Spirit of God working in our lives and around our lives. We will see the other fruit and know that this one is also possible. The experience we have of seeing the fruit in our lives is trustworthy because it is from Jesus. It is not BY our actions, it is our actions by our TRUST.

Look at the fruit all around you. It is Jesus’ fruit. It is Spirit fruit. It is evidence that you are rooted in Jesus (John 15). It is evidence that we are submitted to Him (1 Peter 5:6). We already have everything that we can possibly need (Ephesians 1:3). We can see it if we look around. And if we can see it, then we can TRUST for the rest. We will have good fruit coming because we can see we are maintaining our connection with Adonai because of the good fruit we already see around us. We trust in Him, which enables Him to trust in us, which helps us to trust in Him more. Don’t let yourself get short-changed on the fruit that you have been promised. Stay connected to Jesus through the Word and let the Spirit guide and correct you on your path. Enjoy GOOD fruit.

Daily Affirmation Jesus IS Messiah: Psalm 80:17

May you give support to the one you have chosen, to the one whom you raised up for yourself.” Messiah would be the Man of Elohim’s right hand. Messiah is the instrument through which Elohim’s plan of salvation is enacted. Without Him there is no completed plan. It is by Messiah and through Messiah that it is accomplished. Messiah will sit at Elohim’s right hand. “But he was silent and did not answer. Again the high priest questioned him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?” “I am,” said Jesus, “and you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power and coming with the clouds of heaven.”” (Mark 14:61-62). Jesus did not lie. He was seen by Stephen. ““Look!” he said. “I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”” (Acts 7:56). Jesus ascended to the Father and took His place. Jesus IS the Messiah!
