Daily Affirmation #142

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen” (2 Corinthians 13:14, MEV). This describes the partnership of cooperation that God is looking for from you and me. The believer’s life is an impossible life without this partnership. We can take the grace of Jesus’ sacrifice and stop there, waiting for heaven – MANY believers do this. We can move into an understanding of how much He loves us and develop our love for Him and gain some of the same freedoms that Jesus and the early church walked in. We can move beyond that into communion with Holy Spirit and walk in the fullness of what Jesus has called us to and what He Himself did (John 14:12). It is a real challenge ONLY possible in FULL cooperation (humbly submitted to His will and His Word) with Jesus (Matthew 19:26). When attempting any challenging endeavor, you need someone with the right knowledge who will also take responsibility for getting things right. God has the knowledge and it is OUR responsibility to take what He tells us and shows us and walk it out. We are responsible to do what He says. Not what WE think, but what HE thinks. Our ideas are great and we can talk everything out with Him (Isaiah 1:18). But only ONE has the full picture and the full scope of every heart involved (Isaiah 46:10; 1 Samuel 16:7). We need to LISTEN and we need to OBEY. But when we do, there is real victory, real overcoming, and real power that is released in us, through us, and around us by God. We may be participating in them, but HE is the Source of all the power and deserving of all the glory. Cooperating with God is the greatest thing that any of us can ever do. It is the full communion with Him that we are called to.
