And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:38
We all have received Ruach HaKodesh as Jesus’ gift to us. Ruach HaKodesh is with us. He’s in us. We’re partners. We’re actually His house (1 Corinthians 6:19). No matter WHAT we do and WHERE we go, Ruach HaKodesh is with us (Romans 8:35-39). We need to get a revelation of this. Yes, the atmosphere we create will encourage Him to interact with us or discourage Him from interacting with us. But it is like when you call out to misbehaving children to correct their behaviour versus getting down on the floor and playing with them. You love them in both situations, and might not be angry at them at all when you correct them. But you’re unlikely to play with them when they’re misbehaving. Notice that in both instances you’re there and available. As we practise His presence, and as we go about our days, we need revelation that He is THERE. He is a HERE, not a SOON.
Even as an adult, I receive things from my parents. They live locally, so I don’t receive from a mailbox or a parcel delivery service. I receive directly from them. My children get things from me and my partner. We don’t mail them, our kids live with us. We give direct. I have occasionally received from my siblings or given something. Same with my nieces. In all the cases, it was a person to person gift (sometimes with an intermediary like my parents). Nothing is ever mailed in our family. It is always given to a person or given to a person who gives it to a person. When we see each other, we don’t necessarily EXPECT to be given things, but when we see each other, we are aware of the possibility. We NEVER look for things from each other unless we are seeing each other.
Since we HAVE been given Ruach HaKodesh, and since we are practicing getting a consistent atmosphere in our homes and our lives so that He will interact with us, He is HERE with us. That should make us expectant. Since Ruach HaKodesh is with us, we can receive from Him. We serve a LOVING God who ENJOYS Blessing us. Why do we always tend to the spectrum of waiting? We’ll be praising Him, worshipping, knowing He is there. Knowing He is interacting with us. But do we receive from Him? Well, you might say, we don’t know what He’s offering. That’s religious thinking. That’s thinking there is a criteria we need to check off before we receive from Him. That’s not Adonai. Adonai BLESSES. Adonai GIVES. And Adonai doesn’t have an expiry date (Hebrews 13:8).
Everything of Ruach HaKodesh is available all the time. There ARE times where we have to have done the work. We need to have had the Word in us. We need to be humbly submitted to Him. We need to have aligned ourselves with the Word which is the will of Adonai (James 4:2-3). But we KNOW that when we ask according to the Word in order to see Adonai glorified, we WILL have what we ask for EVERY TIME (1 John 5:14-15). We KNOW that Ruach HaKodesh has Fruit and Character available to us to walk in. Do you need healing? Take it. Do you need a blessing? Take it. Do you need comfort? Take it. Adonai is ALWAYS offering these things. Adonai is ALWAYS ready to move. Ruach HaKodesh AUTOMATICALLY responds to honest trust in Jesus (Luke 8:46). Every. Time. Do you know WHEN it is available? Whenever He is with us. And we KNOW that is ALL THE TIME.
Ruach HaKodesh is IN THE ROOM with us. When are we all going to start acting like it? It’s like being in the room with an extremely rich person who is known for gifting things to meet people’s needs upon being asked. Would you ask? Or would your pride get in the way? Would you say you aren’t worthy? Would you say it’s okay and you’ll make do because it’s building your character? Or would you ask the person you are NOT inconveniencing for something they can EASILY afford to give that you NEED? Adonai meets our needs. We don’t even need to ASK for them (Matthew 6:32-33, 7:7; 2 Corinthians 9:10). He is providing for us before we even ask. He is THAT GOOD. Why aren’t we TAKING from Him what He is FREELY OFFERING? Why are we hesitating? Is it because we aren’t really seeing that He is in the room? I think that might be part of it.
Ruach HaKodesh is HERE. WITH US. His Fruit is available. The wisdom of Adonai is available. The character of Adonai is available. His strength is available. His Peace is with Him. Take it. He is offering. Are you accepting? You can. Honest. He is in the room with you. Get expecting. Get excited. Get your eyes on Him. Get your eyes and ears on the Word. See what is being offered. Hear the offering. It isn’t greed to take what He gives you. It isn’t wrong. It’s your inheritance. It’s part of being in the family. This is your loving Father giving to you through Ruach HaKodesh. This is your loving bridegroom giving to you through Ruach HaKodesh. This is your loving comforting guide and teacher, Ruach HaKodesh, giving freely to you. Receive it. Take it. He’s in the room. You don’t have to EARN it. Only RECEIVE it. It’s YOURS. He says so.
Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Exodus 33:19
“And he said, “I myself will cause all my goodness to pass over before you, and I will proclaim the name of Yahweh before you, and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will show compassion to whom I will show compassion.” Moses had no right to demand that Adonai show him His GLORY (Exodus 33:18). But Adonai is merciful and gracious and showed Moses His GOODNESS. That can look like Adonai didn’t answer properly, but Adonai’s glory IS His goodness. If we want to see the glory of Adonai, we need to know of His goodness. We need to see the FULL picture of what He has provided to us in Mercy and Grace (Romans 1:16). Adonai is GOOD. He does GOOD things for us (Psalm 84:11). If it is NOT good, then it is NOT Adonai (James 1:17). But He is so good He even uses that which He didn’t cause, send, or desire for us to help us when we trust in Him (Romans 8:28). Since He is that good, how can we desire anything else but to see more of it? He LOVES to show us His goodness. He loves it. And anyone who loves Adonai will love to see it (1 John 4:4-12). He is all around us, showing us. All creation shows the glory of Adonai (Psalm 19:1), which we know is His goodness. He doesn’t hide it, but reveals it to each and every one of us ALL day and ALL night at ALL times. What a GOOD God!

I taste and see that Yahweh is good; I am blessed because I take refuge in Him.
