Fear No Fear

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is an eternal God, the Creator of the whole earth. He does not get tired or weary; there is no limit to his wisdom. He gives strength to those who are tired; to the ones who lack power, he gives renewed energy. Even youths get tired and weary; even strong young men clumsily stumble. But those who wait for the Lord’s help find renewed strength; they rise up as if they had eagles’ wings, they run without growing weary, they walk without getting tired.

Can you hear me? Can you? Is it working? I never knew. Because I was close enough I could hear the person on the other end of the tin can telephone without needing to listen to the can. I thought it was foolish. I never got into them. My kids loved them. Although they were more high tech. There was a metal string between the cups. It improved the vibrations. A little. I could still hear them without the cup. It teaches that speaking into the cup creates sound waves which are converted into vibrations at the bottom of the cup. The vibrations travel along the string and are converted back into sound waves at the other end. If the string isn’t tight enough, the vibrations and resulting sound will be weak. If the knot in the string in the bottom of the cup isn’t big enough, when the string gets tight it will fall out the cup. If nothing else, the tin can telephone teaches that simple precision works and small missteps prevent workage (that’s not a real word, but it applies).

Adonai is ETERNAL. He is the Creator of the WHOLE EARTH. He does not get tired. He does not get weary. He has limitless wisdom. He is never tired. He does not lack power. He gives strength. He gives renewed energy. His knot is not too small. He made the cups. He made the string. It’s there. He is speaking. He is speaking. His voice is making the bottom of His cup vibrate. Those vibrations are heading down the string. The string is full of them. It is – on His end – working really, REALLY well.

‘But those who wait’. The word for wait is qavah (kaw-vaw’) which means ‘to wait for’. It’s root meaning and usage is to twist, stretch, and then a tension of enduring. Pulling that string taut. Keeping it tight. If the string isn’t tight, you’re not really waiting. What do we get if we wait? ‘Renewed strength’. In the Hebrew it is ‘shall renew’ and the word is chalaph (khaw-laf’) to pass on, to pass away, or pass through. Like sound waves through the base of a cup from a string that is taut connecting voice to ear. This is what it is all about. Adonai is CONSTANTLY giving. He is full of Mercy and Grace. He is generous. He is a GOOD Father. It is coming down that string from His spirit to our spirit. “But a time is coming—and now is here—when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such people to be his worshipers. God is spirit, and the people who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”” (John 4:23-24).

Why is the spirit part so important? Why do we need to worship in SPIRIT? Because that is where we dwell. We are seated in the heavenly places in Messiah Jesus in our SPIRIT. THAT is where we worship. THAT is were we live and move and ARE. That is the TRUTH of our being. “But God, being rich in mercy because of his great love with which he loved us, even though we were dead in offenses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you are saved!—and he raised us up together with him and seated us together with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:4-6). “For in him we live and move about and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we too are his offspring.’” (Acts 17:28). Jesus lived this way. He came down from heaven (John 3:16). He was here on earth, the Son of Man (Mark 2:8-12). But He was AT THE EXACT SAME TIME seated with His Father in heavenly places. “No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven” (John 3:13, NKJV). As Jesus was in heaven in the spirit while physically here on earth, so to are WE in heaven in the spirit while physically here on earth.

When we recognise our place in Jesus – together in heaven in our spirits – we have a taut string. How do we recognise our place when it is CLEARLY a mystery that is hard to grasp? The Word. Renewing OUR thinking which is limited by what we can observe and experience with HIS thinking which has no limit (Romans 12:2). Jesus came to give us abundant life (John 10:10) which rests on our ability to process life. People in a coma have no way to process life. They might have a vague sense of something, but they are not smelling smells. They are not hearing full sounds. They are not seeing what is around them. They are not moving in full bodily motion. They are not processing life, although their bodies are alive. Jesus wants more for us. He came so that we could have so much more.

When we let Adonai renew our minds through His Word, we WILL know the truth. We need to consistently and constantly let Jesus teach us. If we don’t, we are not following His teaching. We may know some of His teaching. We may check in on His teaching every week. But that is not following His teaching. That is not keeping the string taut. It takes effort to keep our eyes on Him and His Word, but it is such a minor thing. Pulling the cup a fraction more. Making sure we don’t move and let it go slack. To keep it full of tension. To wait those moments while the vibrations of His voice travel from His cup to ours.

When we do that, when we HEAR with our full ears – body AND spirit AND mind – we will know some things. Remember, He gives wisdom to all who ask (James 1:5-8). He holds nothing back. We have access to the mind of Messiah (1 Corinthians 2:16). Wisdom is the user manual so that we know how to understand what is in our Anointed mind. You know what’s there? Truth. Truth saturates the mind of Messiah. Truth saturates our spirit. Truth saturates the heaven that we are seated in IN JESUS. That truth breaks all bonds of deception. “Then Jesus said to those Judeans who had believed him, “If you continue to follow my teaching, you are really my disciples and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32).

Do you know what the deception is in EVERY SINGLE area of our lives? That we are not in Jesus. That’s it. What was the ORIGINAL temptation? You are not like God (Genesis 3:4-5). Adam and Eve were created in the very image and likeness of Adonai (Genesis 1:26). They were DUPLICATES. They thought like Him. They acted like Him. They walked like Him. They talked like Him. Right up until they chose not to because they believed a deception. In Jesus we are renewed and restored and we are once again JUST LIKE HIM. That TRUTH sets us free from deception. The world says you’re crazy, we say we KNOW we are in Jesus. The devil says you’ll always be less than, we say we KNOW we are in Jesus. You know what spiritual warfare is? The kingdom of darkness trying to overturn the victory we already walk in. There is no fight. There is no struggle. There is only principalities and powers throwing a tantrum to distract us so that other operatives can tell us a lie. When we KNOW the truth – we ARE in Jesus – and we STAND on that truth, they have to run away (James 4:7). They have no other choice. It’s not even a fight. It’s like they arrive at the door and we slam it in their face. That is the reality of knowing who you are in Messiah Jesus.

Are you feeling weary? Know who you are in Jesus. Are you feeling sick? Know who you are in Jesus. Are you feeling lack? Know who you are in Jesus. Are you feeling not enough? Know who you are in Jesus. Are you feeling meh or yuck or yikes? Know who you are in Jesus. It is THAT simple. There is no old man we are fighting against. He’s dead. There is no sinful nature we are struggling to keep down. It’s drowned and dead. All we need to do is know who we are in Jesus. When we know who we are in Jesus, we trust Him. When we trust Him, we are living our Elohim given best lives. Anything else than trusting Him is living with less than we are meant to (Romans 14:23).

We are righteous because we are in Messiah Jesus. We have access to everything Adonai is speaking into us because we worship spirit to spirit. We stand on the truth that He reveals to us as we consistently trust in Him. All our victory is there. All our reality is there. All our everything is there. Keep the line taut. Don’t let it droop. Receive the entire and complete flow He is CONSTANTLY sending your way. No sickness. No degradation. No infection. No weakness. No lack. No defeat. Total goodness. It is what we are being given constantly and consistently. Are you receiving? Always know who you are in Messiah Jesus and you always will.

“Here is the Lord’s proclamation to my lord: “Sit down at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool.”” Between Messiah coming as the Suffering Servant and Messiah coming as the Triumphant King, He would ascend to sit at the right hand of the Father. No one but Messiah could inhabit this place. “After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God” (Mark 16:19). Jesus’ disciples and followers were there speaking with Him (Acts 1:1-9). Angels declared that Jesus had gone to heaven and would return (Acts 1:10-11). He was seen through visions as inhabiting His place (Acts 7:55-56). Jesus IS the Messiah!
