“Every breathing thing, let it praise Yah. Praise Yah” (Psalm 150:6, LEB). The word Tobechukwu is derived from the Igbo language. I came across it because it is the title of a worship song by Nathaniel Bassey. It is also a boy’s name. It means ‘Praise God’. Everything on this planet is designed to praise God. Everything with breath does (Psalm 66:4) and everything that is inanimate also does (Psalm 19:1). Everything in creation does praise and will praise the Lord (Revelation 5:13). It’s because God’s goodness and majesty have been revealed IN creation TO creation (Romans 1:20). If EVERYTHING does it, should we also as part of EVERYTHING do it? I’ve said it before and I guarantee that I will say it again. We should be DAILY praising the Lord. It makes SUCH A DIFFERENCE in how the day goes. If you want days filled with goodness and joy no matter WHAT your circumstances are or WHAT situation you encounter, then start your day with thanksgiving, praise, and the Word. Every day that is focused on God from the get-go is a winner. EVERY TIME. There are NO exceptions. In fact, that praise, thanksgiving, and getting into the Word is what will equip you to make the good day happen – no matter WHAT things look like in the natural. Praise is transformational (Psalm 71:23). Thanksgiving is transformational (Colossians 3:15-17). The Word is transformational (Romans 12:2). Who wants to live like an ordinary person, when we could be praisey people living HIS best life (John 10:10)? Be praisey. Be thankful. Get into the Word. You will NEVER regret it and it can turn your world around. Amen.
