“He raises up the poor out of the dust and lifts the needy out of the ash heap, to make them sit with princes, even with the princes of His people” (Psalm 113:7-8, MEV). The poor have no recourse. They have no voice – no matter how wise they are. They have no say in the processes that govern their lives. They don’t always have the necessities to have functional and healthy lives. Princes, on the other hand (or princesses for that matter), have available to them many of the royal assets. Their voices are listened to – indulgently for the foolish, intently for the wise. They have a say in how they live their lives. They have no lack. Sure, they may not have total abandon to do anything they want or spend anything they want, but they have a HUGE amount of things, choices, and finances available to them. They are the polar opposite to the poor. They are still in a system. They still answer to someone (the king or queen). They are restricted in how they behave, speak, and (hopefully) think. But they are in a wonderful place. A place where needs are met and then some. A place where there is no lack. A place where they have the ear of the one who controls everything in the kingdom. It is FAR better to be a prince/princess than to be among the poor. God doesn’t concern Himself with what family you were born into. He made a Way so that you can be adopted into HIS family. THE royal family. Able to have ALL the benefits. ALL the blessings. And the ear of THE KING Himself. He doesn’t even leave us there. He gave us the Word so that we can renew our minds to His royal thinking. To conform ourselves to His will, which is perfect and right. What a GREAT God!
