Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice.

Philippians 4:4

There is something to be said for a special meal. Something you’ve looked forward to. A birthday, anniversary, graduation, a date, or some other celebratory event. Planned out food, atmosphere, and company. It’s lovely and in our own ways we all have our ideas about special meals. We enjoy planning and having them. But there is more value in a consistent feeding. If we ate only at special meals we would not make it. They are too far apart. We cannot survive on good food far apart. We need a little every day. Sometimes more than once. Adonai knows this (He designed us) and gave the Israelites in their travels through Saudi Arabia for forty years DAILY food. He gave them the bread of heaven, enough to last them all day, every single day. This is a GREAT spiritual lesson.

Jesus in His prayer said “Give us today our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11). In His parable about the waiting women, Jesus spoke about the SPARE oil, not just the oil being used (Matthew 25:1-13). We need to be connecting with Adonai EVERY SINGLE DAY. We ALSO need to make sure we have connection STORED UP for use when we need it. It isn’t a declare healing scriptures once and then you’re done. It isn’t a declare Adonai as your Source and never make another deposit. If you are looking for your healing AFTER you get sick, you’re not prepared. Doctors tell us to eat healthy, get our vitamins, and make sure we are hydrated. They tell us this so that our bodies work the best they can. So that we are not susceptible to sickness. Adonai tells us the same thing. To daily connect and to daily store up so that when we need it, it is there. So that we are not susceptible to the lies of the enemy (2 Corinthians 10:4). Consistency. Daily consistency.

Ruach HaKodesh is a flashing reminder in our hearts and minds. He CONSTANTLY tells us about Jesus. He CONSTANTLY points out where we can trust in Jesus. Where we can talk to Jesus. Where we can praise our way to the Throne. Every day when we wake up ‘Thank you, Adonai’ (or something along those lines) should be the first words we speak. He is our point of contact with life (John 10:10). He came so that we can function in the Kingdom, connected to Him and through Him with the Father (John 15:5). We get up and turn on the lights. We get up and turn on the heat. We get up and turn on our appliances. We get up and turn on our phones. We need to get up and connect with intent with our Creator, Lord, and Guide. Ruach HaKodesh is our ‘alarm clock’ ringing out the reminder for us to connect. Simply. Honestly. Thankfully. Acknowledging Adonai for who He is and what He is to us.

Ruach HaKodesh is our constant reminder to connect with Adonai. He reminds us all day long of what Jesus has said. He reminds us all day long that we can respond to Adonai. We don’t have to wait. We don’t need to do it in a church. Corporate worship and connection is VERY important (Hebrews 10:25; Luke 4:16), but so is a DAILY connection. More than just devotional time. More than just a prayer session. Consistent connection. Consistent recognition about who He is and what He is doing, has done, and will do. It ONLY takes a moment. When those moments arrive, Ruach HaKodesh reminds us. He gives us that nudge. That reminder. That guidance.

This is so important to creating the atmosphere that excites our soul in Him. This is so important to maintaining the watchfulness and preparedness that we need to positively function through life. Ruach HaKodesh is our guide and reminder. Don’t push them down. Don’t hit the snooze button. Listen. Respond. Take that moment. Say those words. Be thankful and practise consistent thankfulness. These are the habits that will see us prepared when something suddenly comes upon us. These are the habits that ensure there is no panic. No fear. Only a turning to Him and smiling because we know Jesus is on the case. There is a plan. There are actions to take and songs to sing. Our Elohim is MORE THAN ENOUGH and we will be confident in stormy seas. Asleep with Him in the boat as the storm rages, unable to touch us. Consistent and daily. That’s the key.

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Zephaniah 3:17

Yahweh your God is in your midst; a mighty warrior who saves. He shall rejoice over you with joy; he renews you in his love; he will exult over you with singing.” Songs can encourage and bless us (Ephesians 5:19). Songs can be prophetic (Isaiah 52:7–12). Songs can be teaching and a reminder of what Adonai has done to future generations (Deuteronomy 32:1–43). Songs can be a worship of thanksgiving for what Adonai has done (Exodus 15). Songs have power. But we cannot do something if Adonai hasn’t done it first. We were made in His image and in His likeness (Genesis 1:26-27). We were made like Him. If HE does it, WE are capable of doing it – some things on our own, some things only in and through Him (John 15:5). Adonai sings over us so that we can sing over each other. Adonai sings over us so that we can sing back to Him. We have all the benefits of song because He sang first. He made sure to be what we need to be so that we can be what He calls us to be. He did it all so that we can do it too. What a GOOD God!

I taste and see that Yahweh is good; I am blessed because I take refuge in Him.
