Fear No Fear

“What shall I render unto the Lord for all His benefits toward me? I will take the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord” (Psalm 116:12-13, MEV). Salvation is SO MUCH MORE than just confessing your heart-felt belief that Jesus is your Lord (Romans 10:9). It is a whole package that includes everything we need to function as believers. To me, though, the best part of the whole package is that the INSTANT reaction we have to salvation is calling on His Name. That means that built into the salvation process is the immediate clearing of the air so that we can talk to God. That’s HUGE. God doesn’t HEAR the prayers of sinners (John 9:31). God only hears the cry to Him for saving (Romans 10:13; Psalm 145:18), because He called to us first (John 6:44). God hears the RIGHTEOUS (Psalm 34:17; James 5:16; Proverbs 15:29). And it is in Jesus that we are righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21). When we get saved, when we accept the salvation package that God prepared for us before the creation of Creation (Revelation 13:8), we INSTANTLY in our spirits become as Jesus is. One HUNDRED percent. We’re sealed by Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13). And we can IMMEDIATELY speak to God, the Great I AM, Almighty Yahweh. We can go before Him and speak to Him like He is our father (Hebrews 4:16; 1 Corinthians 8:6). Best part of the best part? The bestest part is that we don’t have to storm the gates of heaven, don’t have to call and plead and pace the floor, and don’t have to get His attention from on high. He LIVES INSIDE US (Revelation 3:20; Luke 12:36–37; John 14:21–23; Song of Solomon 5:2–4). If we can speak to our chest, we are speaking to God. That’s how close He is. That’s how loud you need to be. He is RIGHT THERE! I tell you, God is a GOOD God, God is AWESOME, and God makes sure we have EVERYTHING we need in Him to succeed with Him. He really is the BEST!
