Healing Wings “Consistency”

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever!
Hebrews 13:8 (emphasis added)

“The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous” (Proverbs 15:29). The word for righteous (tsaddiq {tsad-deek’}) means blameless, innocent, just, one in the right, righteous, righteous man, righteous men, righteous ones, righteously, those who are in the right. It ALSO means the Righteous One. Adonai is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the Righteous One. He hears the prayers of Jesus. “So they took away the stone. Jesus looked upward and said, “Father, I thank you that you have listened to me. I knew that you always listen to me, but I said this for the sake of the crowd standing around here, that they may believe that you sent me.”” (John 11:41-42). Jesus WAS heard by the Father, IS heard by the Father, and WILL ALWAYS BE heard by the Father. Jesus is PERFECTLY CONSISTENT.

This is fantastic news for us, because He is the designated mediator between humanity and the Father (1 Timothy 2:5). Jesus’ blood is the blood drenching and dripping down the Mercy Seat (Hebrews 12:24). He is the one we can speak to, the one we can meet, the one that Job so desperately wanted and prophetically declared the need for – even though he was mistaken about the CAUSE of his circumstance (Job 9:32-35). Jesus knows who He is. He knows His mind. He knows the Father’s mind. And Jesus sticks to it with a consistency we can barely even fathom in our natural minds. He is as solid as a giant boulder in a storm (Matthew 7:24-29). Jesus is the one we NEED.

Humans started with a pure and righteous spirit, but let themselves be deceived and it was taken away. Yes, LET themselves. 1 John 4:1; Romans 16:17-18; Colossians 2:8; 2 Timothy 3:13; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; and Galatians 6:7 is a SHORT list of many scriptures that have the truth in them about deception. It is ALWAYS a CHOICE. We don’t HAVE to be deceived. If we hold to the truth we will NOT be deceived. Jesus pointed that out in Matthew 24:24 “For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” IF POSSIBLE is how Jesus put it. That means that we CAN be, but it also means we do not HAVE TO BE. “Then Jesus said to those Judeans who had believed him, “If you continue to follow my teaching, you are really my disciples and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”” (John 8:31-32). THAT is how we do it. We hold to Jesus’ teaching (That’s Genesis to Revelation with careful attention to Jesus’ commentary on it which are the Gospels, Acts, and the first three chapters of Revelation) and we will know the TRUTH. The TRUTH sets us free. What is Jesus? The TRUTH made flesh (John 1:14). Jesus came and tabernacled with us. He made a way for US to enter into HIS covenant with OUR Father.

Is it a wishy-washy covenant? No (Psalm 136). Is it a covenant of punishment? No (John 3:17-18). Is it a covenant of sickness? No (Exodus 23:25; Jeremiah 33:6; 1 Peter 2:24). Is it a covenant of defeat now and victory later? No (John 16:33). “But now Jesus has obtained a superior ministry, since the covenant that he mediates is also better and is enacted on better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, no one would have looked for a second one. But showing its fault, God says to them, “Look, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will complete a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. It will not be like the covenant that I made with their fathers, on the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not continue in my covenant, and I had no regard for them, says the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will establish with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds, and I will inscribe them on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they will be my people. And there will be no need at all for each one to teach his countryman or each one to teach his brother saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ since they will all know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful toward their evil deeds, and their sins I will remember no longer.”” (Hebrews 8:6-12). We live that reality today. Or we can if we’ll hold to that promise.

The promise was first fulfilled over two thousand years ago when we as a corporate body – the Body of Messiah – received the Ruach HaKodesh. “Now when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like a violent wind blowing came from heaven and filled the entire house where they were sitting. And tongues spreading out like a fire appeared to them and came to rest on each one of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they began to speak in other languages as the Spirit enabled them” (Acts 2:1-4). That is when it STARTED and it HAS NO END. EVER. We’ve got the Spirit NOW. We’ll have the Spirit throughout eternity and beyond. We will NEVER EVER EVER be separated from it and Him EVER (Deuteronomy 31:6 & 8; Hebrews 13:5). NOTHING can separate us from the LOVE of Jesus, right? That is made clear in Romans 8:38-39 “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor heavenly rulers, nor things that are present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” That’s LOVE. An emotion. A decision. How much MORE will we be unable to be separated from His SPIRIT?

Jesus has been consistent throughout the whole Word. Throughout the entire history of our time on this planet. We let ourselves be deceived. We LOST the Spirit. He left. He does NOT inhabit a sinful vessel. He cannot. Sin is the antithesis of trust. Adonai is righteous. He CANNOT coexist with sin because sin CANNOT stand His presence. Jesus made a way for us to get His Spirit BACK. We died. DIED. We DIED died. And the Father resurrected us to life in Jesus by the Ruach HaKodesh (Romans 8:11). We are no longer sin-filled because His Spirit is in us. We can commit a sin, but we are NOT sinful by nature. By nature we are HIM. “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery leading again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself bears witness to our spirit that we are God’s children. And if children, then heirs (namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ)—if indeed we suffer with him so we may also be glorified with him” (Romans 8:14-17).

This is CONSISTENCY. We have access to His Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16). We have access to His Mind (1 Corinthians 2:16). We have access to His Fruit (Galatians 5:22-23). We have access to everything He IS and He HAS (Ephesians 1:3-6). We were given this by Grace when we trusted in Him to be our SALVATION. Salvation includes a full spectrum of things. Not just a soul. Soul, mind, body, spirit, health, finances, location, employment, relationship(s), attitudes, thoughts, ideas, chores, supplies, vehicles, methodology, emotions, and everything in between. ALL OF IT was and is affected by Jesus. His blood covers EVERYTHING. His Name is above EVERYTHING. His anointing is for EVERYTHING. There is nothing left out. It can ALL be transformed. Transformed so completely that you cannot recognise it for what it USED to be. NEW CREATIONS is what we ARE (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Never, ever, EVER settle for being anything less or anything else. If you find there is an area where you are NOT victorious, change it by finding what the Word says about it and submit that area to Him as per that Word. The Word is for teaching. Learn from it. Seek Him. Never stop. Release your hold on your life. On your health. On your anything and everything. Don’t hold it close. Open it to Him. Let Him take it. He’ll give back something so much better and precious. He is the GIVER (John 10:2830; Ephesians 2:8-9). He’ll give us what we need, what He wants for us, and more than we can ever imagine (Ephesians 3:20-21).

Jesus is consistent. Lean into it. Depend on it. Live in it. No matter where we find ourselves. No matter what is happening around us. No matter what world system is in place. Jesus is consistent. Jesus is trustworthy. Give Him your trust in every area one by one until they are ALL His and you’re standing before the Throne. He’ll give you abundant life (John 10:10) every time. He loves you. Trust Him.

Daily Affirmation Jesus IS Messiah: Proverbs 30:4

Who has ascended into heaven, and then descended? Who has gathered up the winds in his fists? Who has bound up the waters in his cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son’s name? Surely you can know!” The Messiah would be declared to be the Son of God. A separate while joined member of the Godhead (Trinity). The Greek word ‘Lord’ (Kyrion) in ‘Worship the Lord your God’ (Luke 4:8) is the SAME WORD used for the Lord Jesus (Philippians 2:9-11). Jesus used it exhorting people to worship the Father. That self-same word was used by Paul and others to refer to Jesus. Jesus Himself was proclaimed to be the Son of God. “Jesus replied, “I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”” (John 3:3). “So Jesus said again, “I tell you the solemn truth, I am the door for the sheep. All who came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and will come in and go out, and find pasture” (John 10:7-9). “who then testified to everything that he saw concerning the word of God and the testimony about Jesus Christ. Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy aloud, and blessed are those who hear and obey the things written in it, because the time is near! From John, to the seven churches that are in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from “he who is,” and who was, and who is still to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne” (Revelation 1:2-4). “For he received honor and glory from God the Father, when that voice was conveyed to him by the Majestic Glory: “This is my dear Son, in whom I am delighted.”” (2 Peter 1:17). “So they all said, “Are you the Son of God, then?” He answered them, “You say that I am.”” (Luke 22:70). “Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”” (Matthew 16:16). This revelation that Jesus was the Son of the Living God, the Messiah, was the foundational truth (or boulder) on which the Church (the Body of Messiah) was founded (Matthew 16:18). Not everyone understood the revelation of who Jesus was, but it was never denied by Jesus when applied to Himself (the instance in Luke 22:70 wasn’t a denial but a qualified response because they didn’t mean what He meant). Jesus IS the Messiah!
