Ruach HaKodesh “Back Door”

(All scripture from Lexham English Bible, Copyright 2012 Logos Bible Software)

On account of this, I bend my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that he may grant you according to the riches of his glory to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith (you having been firmly rooted and established in love), in order that you may be strong enough to grasp together with all the saints what is the breadth, and length, and height, and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, in order that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

Ephesians 3:14-19

Prophetic praise is revelatory, predictive or inspired praise. Zechariah is a great example of this. When his son was born and he regained his hearing and ability to speak, he sang a song of prophetic praise: “Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has visited to help and has redeemed his people, and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David, just as he spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets from earliest times—salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all those who hate us, to show mercy to our fathers and to remember his holy covenant, the oath that he swore to Abraham our father, to grant us that we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, could serve him without fear in holiness and righteousness before him all our days. And so you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High, for you will go on before the Lord to prepare his ways, to give knowledge of salvation to his people by the forgiveness of their sins, because of the merciful compassion of our God by which the dawn will visit to help us from on high, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to direct our feet into the way of peace” (Luke 1:68-79). His son was born and this was not just about the son, but also about Messiah, the New Covenant, and the future Grace of Adonai. It was prophetic and it was thankful praise.

What is the POINT of prophetic praise? It is using that part of us that is perfected in Jesus right now (our spirit – Ephesians 1:13) to get a message to our heart THROUGH our minds – a kind of bypass, if you like. And end-run around the ‘logical’ part of us that is blocking us from receiving or walking in fullness of what Jesus said was ours. Adonai’s promises are just that: promises. They are a guaranteed thing, but a thing that first happens in the spiritual realm in which the Father had His throne. We cannot see that realm with our current senses. “because we are not looking at what is seen, but what is not seen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is not seen is eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18). “Now faith is the realization of what is hoped for, the proof of things not seen. For by this the people of old were approved. By faith we understand the worlds were created by the word of God, in order that what is seen did not come into existence from what is visible” (Hebrews 11:1-3). Ruach HaKodesh can. And you know what? Our SPIRIT can too!

When we operate in prophetic praise – thanking and praising the Lord for the fulfillment of the promises as if we were walking in them right now – we are getting the truth of their accomplishment in the spiritual realm FROM the spiritual realm INTO our hearts through Jesus, whom OUR spirit operates in (John 15:5). “(just as it is written, “I have made you the father of many nations”) before God, in whom he believed, the one who makes the dead alive and who calls the things that are not as though they are,” (Romans 4:17). They ARE in the spiritual realm BEFORE they are in the physical realm. We call it accomplished before we see the evidence of the accomplishment, the arrival of it in the physical world, because Adonai does the same thing. And if it works for Him, it works for anyone. In the Old Covenant, you often find Adonai referring to things in the past tense which haven’t happened yet. He calls things that are not YET as though they ARE because they ARE where He is when we pray according to His Word and believe we have received when we pray.

So prophetic praise isn’t about getting an answer for prayer. It is about the DELIVERY of the answer for prayer. Whether it is healing, emotional, financial, work related, school related, relational, or anything at all. You prayed and believed at the time you prayed you were getting it (Mark 11:24; James 1:6-8). You prayed according to His Word which is His will (John 15:7; 1 John 5:14-15). If you prayed in order to see Him glorified, not selfishly for your own pleasures/wants/ideas (James 4:1-10). This means that it was immediately accomplished in the spiritual realm. It has come to pass. But you’re not SEEING it, right? We can prophetically praise Adonai for it, utilizing our SPIRIT that DOES see it, enabling us to stand on our trust in Jesus that He is on the case. He will deliver. It is like ordering online. You made the purchase. That item is yours RIGHT NOW. They’ll ship it and you’ll get it. You don’t doubt that between now and when you receive it. You might check your mailbox a hundred times and watch your email twice an hour (or more), but it is in eager expectation and not in doubt. Prophetic praise is a great tool to ‘check our email’ without doubt getting a chance to come in. We are THANKING for what we HAVE (prophetically) RIGHT NOW.

It is the back door around our logical blocks, our timeline issues, and our plain fast food flesh who want it five minutes ago. Ruach HaKodesh is our guide through that back door channel, encouraging us to trust in Jesus. To stand our ground and not let go. To make sure we stick with our trust that our belief was not misplaced and we have got what Adonai says we have when HE says we have it – not when we SEE it. We have the promise, we hold to it, and we praise Adonai for it starting RIGHT AWAY. It’s part of the miracle process to train our bodies and minds to accept what Adonai says, when Adonai says it. He can do the impossible. Whether He does it in your life depends on YOUR acceptance, not HIS will (Ephesians 3:20). May we let His power work within us as we gain knowledge and revelation (insightful commentary) from Ruach HaKodesh. Amen.

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: 2 Corinthians 9:15

Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” Adonai has given us a gift beyond all other gifts. It’s hard even to put it into words. It’s that big. He came to give us abundant life (John 10:10). Which means He came to remove ALL barriers between ourselves and Adonai (Matthew 27:51). Which means in Jesus we have full and complete access to Yahweh Elohim Almighty (Matthew 27:51). When we are in accord with Adonai, justified in and through Jesus (NOT our performance – 2 Corinthians 5:21), we get to stand before the Throne (Hebrews 4:16) where we access the BLESSING (James 1:17; Philippians 4:19; Ephesians 1:3). That’s salvation. The FULL meaning of salvation. Not just ‘being with Adonai forever’ or ‘not being separated from Adonai forever’, but the recipient and repository of all good things that Adonai has for humanity that we get in direct ratio to our knowledge of the love Jesus has for us (Ephesians 3:14-19). The knowledge we get of Jesus’ love enables us to humbly submit to Him more and more (Matthew 11:28-30), which lets us operate as He designed and wills us to. The more we know of Jesus’ love, the more we let His love (which is power) work inside us. “Now to the one who is able to do beyond all measure more than all that we ask or think, according to the power that is at work in us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen” (Ephesians 3:20-21). And if we’re not quite sure, we can ask for wisdom to unlock the whole thing (James 1:5). What a GOOD God!
