Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.”
John 14:1
In existence it is the truth that we have nothing that we have not been given. As living beings filled with the Breath of Elohim (Genesis 2:7), we were made in Adonai’s image (Genesis 1:26). Everything we have is based on the character of Adonai because He was the template He based us on. We love and are capable of love because He loved us first (1 John 4:19). We’re capable of kindness and gentleness because they are the Fruit He grew (Galatians 5:22-23). Everything good in our lives is based on a piece of who Adonai is. We are able to believe in Adonai, then, because Adonai believed in us first.
We need to believe in our kids, right? It helps them develop their self-esteem and identity. Their self-image is partially formed by the information coming from outside. The confidence they get from their parents believing that they can do it is invaluable. When we put trust in them, they develop more trust in themselves. Believing in your child helps that child to have confidence that regardless of shortcomings, situations, or problems, they CAN succeed at what they choose to put their energies toward. It is getting into their deeper minds that they have within them all the abilities they need to accomplish what they were born to do – even though they might need help to access it. If your voice as the parent isn’t strong, consistent, and backed up by actions; the child will start absorbing messages from a different source (whichever one is consistent and backed up with action).
Adonai has had you on His mind since before He started creating anything at all (Ephesians 1:4). He called you to do something specific that no one else could do as well as you (Ephesians 1:11). He empowered you to succeed in what it is that He called you to do (2 Peter 1:2-3). The Father turned to the Son and said ‘I have a job and this is who can get it done.’ The Son looked at the idea of you and agreed. ‘They can do it!’ Ruach HaKodesh also agreed and the Father looked at Him and said ‘Make sure they know it!’ The Father believed in you before you were. The Father STILL believes in you. You CAN do it! Jesus believed in you before you were. Jesus STILL believes in you. You CAN do it! Ruach HaKodesh believed in you before you were. Ruach HaKodesh STILL believes in you. You CAN do it! And Ruach HaKodesh is CONSTANTLY and CONSISTENTLY telling you that YOU CAN DO IT! Their opinion of you and their belief in you has NOT changed (Hebrews 13:8).
We don’t think of Adonai as believing in us, but He does. We can KNOW that He does because His Word says that we can believe in Him. In the Kingdom, we can’t do what He hasn’t done first. That’s one of the reasons Jesus came: to provide for us THE pattern to follow (1 Peter 2:21-25). Jesus did it so that when we engage what HE says it is our right to engage, we too can do it. And He BELIEVES in us. He BELIEVES we can do it. He TRUSTS that we CAN do it. He is cheering us on, not sitting on a throne coldly looking down demanding we obey. The Father is also not sitting on His throne in solemn solemnity observing us dispassionately. Yahweh is called our FATHER (Isaiah 63:16). Do you know ANY father who sits dispassionately watching his child play sports? Some go nuts, some yell out encouragement, some wave, but ALL are involved in the spectator process. Now, I don’t think Adonai is jumping up and down waving a pendant screaming Himself hoarse. But Adonai DOES brag on us (Deuteronomy 32:9-10) and DOES cheer us on (Isaiah 41:13). Adonai BELIEVES in us.
Ruach HaKodesh is that consistent voice telling us this. “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, in order that he may be with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world is not able to receive, because it does not see him or know him. You know him, because he resides with you and will be in you” (John 14:16-17). Ruach HaKodesh was waiting for you to be born so that He could tell you how much Adonai believes in you. That you have the stuff within you – in and through – Jesus to accomplish what He has set before you to do. That He will teach you how to access it. How to engage it. All the while telling you how PROUD Adonai is. How much Adonai believes in you. How much He is cheering you on. How Adonai is so excited, proud, and enthusiastic about you that He LITERALLY sings about you (Zephaniah 3:17). He wrote your name on His HAND (Isaiah 49:16) so that every time He uses or moves it, He sees YOUR name and thinks good thoughts about you (Jeremiah 29:11).
You CAN do it. He BELIEVES in you, so that YOU can BELIEVE in HIM. Together? An UNSTOPPABLE team! “But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With human beings this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”” (Matthew 19:26). Listen to Ruach HaKodesh! Listen to the encourage of your Father! Listen to the encouragement of your Bridegroom, your Lord and Saviour! We are not left alone. We are hand-in-hand with Adonai to get done what He seeks to have done. He BELIEVES in you. He BELIEVES GOOD THINGS about you. He LOVES you. You are the APPLE OF HIS EYE! Listen to Ruach HaKodesh tell you that it is true. That Adonai REALLY DOES think that highly of you. He is the Ruach of Truth (John 16:13) and CANNOT lie (Numbers 23:19; Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18). You were able to believe in Adonai because Adonai believes in YOU! Take it to heart. He BELIEVES in you!
Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Revelation 19:7
“But just as it is written, “Let us rejoice and be glad and give him the glory, because the wedding celebration of the Lamb has come, and his bride has prepared herself.” One of the best things about Adonai is the sheer enthusiasm Jesus has for us. He is so in love with us, that He is DESPERATE to be with us. Like face to face with us. No visions, no dreams, but the reaching out to hug us tight kind of with us. Jesus cries to us: “You have stolen (my) heart, my sister bride! You have stolen my heart with one glance from your eyes, with one ornament from your necklaces. How beautiful is your love, my sister bride! How better is your love than wine, and the fragrance of your oils than any spice!” (Song of Solomon 4:9-10). He wants to be with US more than we want to be with HIM. He sent us Ruach HaKodesh not to give us a stern schoolmarm, but a teaching guide to ensure that we will be able to walk where Adonai wants, align ourselves with His point of view, and humbly submit ourselves to His yoke. He wants to be WITH us, work WITH us, think the same things AS us, and become ONE (Genesis 2:24). It was ALWAYS the plan, it is WHY Jesus came to pay for sin. He wants to SEE us and BE with us. Everything Adonai does is geared toward being WITH Him and NEVER separated. He LOVES us SO MUCH. What a GOOD God!
