“While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the upper regions and came to Ephesus. He found some disciples and said to them, “Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed?” They said to him, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”” (Acts 19:1-2, MEV). Have not even heard. I’ll bet you can guess why the Church as a corporate global whole (the Body of Christ – 1 Corinthians 12:12-27) isn’t walking in the fullness of Jesus. That’s right. Most of the Church hasn’t even heard of everything that is available to us. I know I don’t hold the full knowledge of the fullness of Jesus that is available to me (Ephesians 3:14-21). I haven’t arrived, but I’ve started walking. And I will continue to walk right up until I am standing on the Throne and then wherever He says the journey takes me. My intent is not to stop learning about the love Jesus has for me EVER. We need to NEVER stop asking what’s available and how to engage it. We need to NEVER stop telling other believers what’s available and how they can receive it. Throughout the Word God is VERY clear on His stance on knowledge of Himself and His ways, statutes, and ordinances: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will reject you from being My priest. And because you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children” (Hosea 4:6, MEV). We NEED to know the ways of God. To hear about them, study them, submit to them, and to obey them. Not HEAD knowledge, but EXPERIENTIAL knowledge. The judgment on sin was placed on Jesus and He paid the price. He got the wrath. Judgment is not coming for us. But that does NOT in ANY way reduce the principle that LIFE is in knowing and obeying (John 10:10). We NEED to always be seeking His face and submitting to what He shows us in His Word. Every time. All the time. Who wants to be left out of what they could have unwrapped and experienced? That is NOT what I want. I want to go the full journey. All the way into Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21).
