Fear No Fear

“that the eyes of your understanding may be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of His calling and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance among the saints,” (Ephesians 1:18, MEV). We have an inheritance. God has not left us uncared for. There is something waiting for us. We have hope in that. No matter what is going on here, we are getting an inheritance. But God doesn’t leave it there. Like many a grandparent, He gives us part of our inheritance NOW so that He can get pleasure from watching us ‘spend’ it. “Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3, LEB). In Jesus, who IS our hope, we have been blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing there is. This world was made from the spiritual (Hebrews 11:3). Our spiritual blessings affect our PHYSICAL reality. There is a fulfillment of our inheritance and hope that we will not experience until we are fully in Heaven, but our spirit is sealed and perfected and before the Throne RIGHT NOW (Ephesians 1:13; Hebrews 10:14, 12:23). We gain benefit from that. We don’t have to wait for all of it. We get some of it RIGHT NOW. THAT is how good God is. If we seek Him and talk with Holy Spirit, we can get the eyes of our understanding open to that. We will be able to see what we have and engage it. Seeing the reality arrive in our lives as we engage what is in our spirit through our souls (3 John 2). It isn’t about ‘stuff’. It’s about walking in the fullness of our covenant in Jesus (Ephesians 3:16-21). Our inheritance was never meant just for the future. Open what you have been given. Engage it. Let Him see your smile as your life becomes abundant in Him (John 10:10).
