“Let the righteous man strike me; it shall be a kindness. Let him rebuke me; it shall be oil for my head; let my head not refuse it. For my prayer is continually against their evil deeds” (Psalm 141:5, MEV). We are selfish creatures left on our own. God loves us too much to leave us like that. So we have been put together. We have a spouse (male and female). We have a church we’re connected to. Fellow believers that we see regularly. This gives us opportunity to love and correct each other. “Speak to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Give thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, being submissive to one another in the fear of God” (Ephesians 5:19-21, MEV). We’re not to dominate each other. We are to HELP one another. Sometimes when we are burning our conscience so that we will not hear Holy Spirit’s voice, another believer can come and stand in front of us to speak from the outside what we are refusing to hear inside. Spoken in love. Spoken to help, heal, and build up. What a great system. No judgment. People who love each other. What a great witness we can be to the world. No judging. No criticizing. Love. Encouragement. Blessing. We could be known for it. We could be what He called us to be. Jesus did NOT leave us without support and care. He is a GREAT God!
