“Blessed be the Lord my strength, who prepares my hands for war, and my fingers to fight; my goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer, my shield, and in whom I trust; who subdues nations under me” (Psalm 144:1-2, MEV). There is a lot that comes against believers. The devil doesn’t want us to turn out like God, but like himself. He’s not after worship as much as he seems to be after making sure he is the only one worshipped – if not him, at least not God. Other people, blind and lost, have a hate-on for believers and the Light that shines in us. They don’t like to be reminded of their ignorance. They feel guilty when they see the truth – without even a word spoken against their destructive behaviours. They don’t hate US. They hate the Jesus in us. Add to that a fallen world where everything is continuing its evolutionary deterioration and descent into chaos, and you have a MASSIVE amount of stuff heading our way on a daily basis. God does not leave us alone. He turn to Him and shelter in Him. What does He do? Not only fights FOR us and IN OUR PLACE, but ALSO trains us. He prepares us. He doesn’t let us fight until we are ready. Even then He doesn’t leave us or stop doing His stuff. He lets us cooperate. He lets us help. All while within the shelter of His feathers and under His direct and involved supervision. What a GREAT God! He loves us SO MUCH!
