Fear No Fear

“But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. You will go out and grow up like calves from the stall” (Malachi 4:2, MEV). I like healing. I like FULL person healing: spirit, soul, and body. I am grateful that it is my RIGHT and the RIGHT of all believers to have this. I ALSO like the image of where/how we get it. Under His wings. Ever seen birds with their young? Often the young are gathered under the wings of the parent. Completely covered, practically smothered by feathers. Everywhere they look there are feathers. They REALLY need to work at it to get their head to poke out and view the world around them – and the parent frequently pokes them back under. What ARE God’s wings? Could be many things, but I think ONE of the things that are His wings is the Word. His Word should be all around us. It points us to Him. It stands between us and the world. Everything about our senses becomes filtered by the Word. Everywhere we move, everything we say, everything we see, everything we do, and even everything we think should become so saturated by the Word that it is only through the WORD that we do, say, think, or move. The Word is a phenomenal tool that we have been given to wrap ourselves in (2 Timothy 3:16-17). A protective covering given to shield us in EVERY way so that we can have healing in EVERY way. What a great God!
